SPOILERS

I'm a little confused by what you're referring to at this point. If you're referring to the first major quest, where you attempt to get the astrolite back from the thugs, you need to make sure that you get the astroline off the table in the beach house. Then you'll need to retrun to Mercurio. It should recognize the completion of the quest at that point.

As the previous poster said, if you're still stuck (and saving/reloading, hitting him or killing him, etc. doesn't work), then I'd just begin the game again. You're not very far along. There might be a cheat command you can use, I'm not sure. I've never messed with them.

Good luck.

training

the intro missions do sometimes get a bit confused. one time, the door wouldn't open. make sure that you have done all that you have been asked to in the way you have been asked to do it. when you have you simply need to stand in front of Jack and it'll go into auto-dialogue. sometimes you can prompt that with deliberately speaking to him.

Actually, I usually don't dine on the rats at all. Just speak with Jack again and he'll be amused but forgiving.

The sequence after you do or don't dine on the rats is to sneak past the Sabbat, go through the double doors, speak with Jack, Jack will send you out to kill the Sabbat, do so, take the tire iron, return to Jack, and then follow his directions.

You didn't by chance kill the Sabbat when you should have only been sneaking by him, did you?

Ive noticed the "tips" pop ups cause this kind of prob for me in this part of the game when you approach a task for the first time a tips box comes up and tell s you what to do, only some times it dosnt so you cant proceed also somes times when it says "Left click to continue" no amount of frantic left clicking allows you to proceed!
Ive found just by restarting the game usualy puts both these probs right!
