Mandalore = Canderous?

Post by Darth Xanax »

Is Mandalore Canderous I only went to the game once so far and I remember
some kind of reference that it is him and the voice sounds just like him and
he says almost the same exact thing when you interact with him

"Is there something else you need"

Hehe yes it is Canderous. In battle you will often hear him shouting "For Clan Ordo", and it does sounds very like him. I never really spoke to him but you might get him to reveal something about Revan and his travels with him.

If you ask Kreia about the future of your companions, she mentions that Mandalore definately IS Canderous. She says something like "blah blah blah Mandalorians blah blah and CANDEROUS is a very good blah blah blah"
Hope this attempt of clarification will suffice. :P

Too bad that they didn't hired the same actor who "played" original Canderous.

They did, they did. Look here and here

It even lists John Cygan as doing the voices for "Mandalore/Canderous".

voice2

In KOTR II he sounds different than in KOTOR 1 so I thought that they hired another actor.

Just the "helmet" sound changes it a little.... his voice has the same basic characteristics though, and it says its the same guy.
How did you get him taking off his helmet?
A number of game features were implemented at the last minute. In this case, a full body and face of Mandalore was put in. However, they decided to prevent you from taking off his original armor. A number of modders have made changes to the game, and one of them allows the removal of his original armor or an alteration of it without the helm. There's 2 basic types of bodies in KotOR and KotOR 2: those whose clothing is grafted on (appearance does not change when you change equipment) and those who have regular clothing. Despite not being able to remove his armor in-game, Mandalore is the latter. Good old Canderous, with grey hair. Talk about aging a lot in 5 years, but oh well. Glad to see someone brought that back.
