through a spell called "resurection"

you can have the guy in the church in Hommlet do it for you, for a price

A simpler - although less health-restorative - way is have a 9th- or 10th-level Cleric memorize & cast Raise Dead. Sure, either way it costs you some Experience (from the character being revived), but it's cheaper that way.

How far are you? If you're aren't that far, then paying for Raise Dead/Resurrection makes sense.

1) and is it able to gain all the spells?
2) or i hv to make choices between them?
3) and how to use scrolls???
4) i am complete newbie on this game..and i cant find a decent web to teach me how to play

This is a bit confusing, but I'll try to answer these the best I can.

1) You mean your Cleric?

2) Depends upon which spellcasting class we're talking here.

3) Here's some step-by-step instructions.
First: Cast the Identify spell on a scroll.
Second:
- If the scroll is a Cleric or Druid spell, have your Cleric or Druid memorize the Level-0 spell 'Read Magic.'
- you want a Wizard to copy a scroll to their spellbook, use the radial menu. Under the button that looks like a stick figure surround by a circle, hover your cursor over that. An option should appear that says 'Copy scroll.' However, they'll need enough ranks in the Spellcraft skill to ensure a strong chance of copying the scroll successfully.
If the scroll is a spell for a Wizard or Sorcerer, have a Wizard or Sorcerer memorize the Level-0 spell 'Read Magic.'
Third:

4) I suppose you mean walkthrough?

5) Skills and spells I can help you with somewhat, particularly skills. To start, only one member of your party needs ranks in certain skills (example: A Barbarian with ranks in Survival and a Rogue with ranks in Appraise), and they should have maximum ranks in those skills to gain the best effect.

If you need clarifications in how certain skills work, I can help you with that as well. ;)

Oh, and keiar, I deleted your other thread because this thread is pretty-much fine to post these questions in. It doesn't seem that far from this original subject.

Yeah, you'll have to pay Terjon in the church to raise your fallen character.

Here's how magic works: clerics, druids, rangers, and paladins all cast what is called divine magic. They each have a list of spells for their class, and that list is divided into spell levels. When they are able to cast spells of a certain level, they can pick from any of the spells available to that class. They must, however, pick which spells to prepare ahead of time. Before you rest, open your inventory and click the little starburst button near the top, this will open your list of spells. Drag spells into the boxes on the right to select them for memorization. After resting, they will be able to cast those spells. You can put the same spell in two boxes if you want to cast it more than once. Clerics can also change their spells to healing magic at will (if they're good). When picking spells to cast from the radial menu, hold the shift key, and that will turn your spells to healing magic.

Wizards, bards, and sorcerers cast arcane magic. They know only a set number of spells from their class list (unlike the divine casters). Wizards can gain more by copying scrolls to their spellbook, but sorcerers only get what they gain from leveling up, so you have to pick carefully with them. Wizards and bards also have to prepare their spells ahead of time. This works the same way as for divine casters above. Sorcerers don't have to pick ahead of time. As long as they haven't exhausted their allotment for the day, they can cast any spell they know. They don't have to guess what they'll need, like the others.

All of these guys can use any scroll that's from the right spell list. A cleric can't use a scroll of magic missile because it's not on his list, but a wizard or sorcerer can. A wizard can use a scroll of cure light wounds, but a cleric or druid can, etc. For anybody to be able to do anything with the scroll, it must first be identified with either the 0-level spell READ MAGIC or the 1st level arcane spell IDENTIFY (be careful, this costs 100gp each time you use it). You can also identify them in any of the shops with the identify button, but this also costs 100gp every time. READ MAGIC is the best way. Have any spellcasters memorize a bunch of READ MAGICS and identify all your scrolls. On some mods of the game, this will also let you identify potions.

Hope this helps.

That's correct, the radial menu is the round one with the portrait of your character in the middle that comes up when you right-click.

You don't need "use magic device" to use a scroll, if the spell is on your character's spell list (that is, if it's a wizard/sorcerer spell and your a wizard). If you want to use a scroll that is not on the spell list of any of your character's levels, you must use use magic device, and it won't be easy. Basically, it's not a good idea to even try.

Remember, the only person who can add scrolls to a spellbook is the wizard. He's the only one who will ever copy a scroll. Place an identified scroll into his inventory, then call up the radial menu. One of the buttons should have the option to copy scroll. Hover on that, and a list of all copy-able scrolls in that character's inventory will appear. Pick one and left-click to make the attempt. You will get a success or failure message. If you fail, you will have to gain a level and add a rank to spellcraft to try again (you must have ranks in spellcraft to copy in the first place, is that your problem?).

To use a scroll, put it in your inventory and call up the radial menu. Hover on the backpack and a set of options will come up, depending on what's in your inventory. Hover over "scrolls" and any scrolls you can try to use will appear. Right click on them to use them.

1) No, you can't identify anything magical w/ a skill in this game. You can only do such w/ the Identify spell or through the identify function of a merchant.

2) I'd only suggest 'Use Magic Device' for a Rogue w/ maximum ranks and high Charisma. Bards can memorize 'Read Magic' once they can actually cast spells. Trust me, just memorize 'Read Magic' to read a scroll for any class that can cast the spell from the scroll.

3) Yes, the radial menu is the thing you get when you right-click.

Now another problem...
still is the problem with scrolls
**************
Before you leave, check out the bookcase at area #8. Inside is a trove of scrolls. One of them is a Heal scroll. Should you already know the "Read Magic" spell with either your cleric or mage, you can use that to identify scrolls. Take the Heal scroll over to the Leather Worker at area #5 and speak with the man on the left, Jakk Borton. Tell him Terjon is looking for more followers, but he'll say that it would take a miracle to convince him to join.

Use your Heal scroll on Bing, next to Jakk, and you can then convince Jakk to join St. Cuthbert. Hello xp.
**************

I have already identified the scrolls, mostly are heal wounds etc, and i found one named Heal Scroll (somehow i already had one) and now i dont know how to use it

Now i notice my cleric knows how to create scrolls too

If you cleric can create scrolls, that must mean he took the scribe scroll feat at some point (or there's a bug).

If you have identified the scroll "Heal", give it to your cleric. Go into the leatherworker's house and move your cleric next to Bing (you may have to get others out of his/her way). Right-click, go to the backpack, hover over scrolls, then select the one marked "Heal". At this point your icon should turn into a wand. Use that wand to left-click on Bing, and he should be healed.

BTW, you need to talk to the leatherworker and get him to mention Bing before the quest will be completed. To do that, you may have to talk to Terjon first and get him to ask you to recruit the leatherworker to the church of St. Cuthbert.

Now on the reviving thing. The cheapest revival is a race revival. Go to Jarooh and he will bring your guy from the dead for a mere 255 coins! Only problem is he doesn't come back in the same body. To put short a gnome might become an elf.

Has anyone actually had this happen to them when having a character raised in this manner. I'm pretty sure the spell is bugged, and never changes your race.

I mean I think that spell is broken, and although it raises your character it can't change your race, even though it's supposed to.
