are these really benefitial? can u use them with an energy shield or manadolorian melee shield?

Yes. I usually reserve them for the major fights but usually at the end, I have more than 40 of each left over LOL. These were usually made at the lab station. So they really should be using it more.
They don't affect your ability to use shields at all. Only the Mandalorian meelee shield and any energy shield can't be used together. Whichever one you use last will be in effect.
What is nice is that at the start of major fights, you can press pause and stim up your character with all 4 major stims (str, alac, stam and echani battle stim). You can't do this after the first combat round so it should be done immediately at start of combat.
