I am very new at playing NWN. My character is a wizard, and I initially had the ability (spell?) to Summon Familiar. I've gained a few levels now, and I seem to have lost that ability, even though my familiar still appears when I level up. I have spells to summon a 1st and 2nd level critter, but my panther isn't available!
Can anyone help?

Summon familiar
Summon familiar isn't actually a spell, but an ability.
Thus you can't find it if you are looking through the spellbook, but you need to navigate the radial menu which appears when you right click with the mouse.
It has been some time so I can't say excatly which "radial" menu it is located in, but just look for it and you should find it.
And as with all abilities it can be placed on the quickbar for easier access if you have enough slots.
