Dantooine(Redemption)

Post by Davja Eloma »

I've played this several times through now, and would like to know if anyone has managed to finish this quest?

No. I'm pretty sure that this is one more bug to add to the notorious list. I've seen much of the threads talking about it and its a % 90 conclusion.

I heard from people who say they cleared it but it could've just been trolls. It had to do with convincing the second-in-command dude to speak up for you, NOT recruiting the chick who greets you when you first land, putting a smack down on the mercenaries, and then talking to the chick afterwards.

I haven't confirmed it so I chalk it up as another endearing bug.

Have you had a chance to confirm this? Also, does it help to have your LS in hand when she first greets you? I'm going thru again and I'm currently on Dantooine.

Umm..... If you dont have your lightsaber in hand then she will just greet you.

Tried it - doesn't work. She just gives you the same "Glad we won and they lost" spiel. Having a lightsaber when you talk to her just means that you have to persuade/force persuade her to answer your questions...

Those who say it can be resolved probably haven't triggered it (it isn't that easy; one convo line with Adare or fix the protocol droid or show a lightsaber to the mechanic).

According to the TSL Restoration Project's modders the triggers related to this quest are obviously broken...

I'll say it's broken. I definitely tried to finish it before; I can't stand leaving quests undone. I couldn't get it before, and in my last game I was extremely anal about getting it, but everything I did left the quest unresolved. All I got was the soldiers saying they wished they had lightsabers. There's definitely no way to finish that quest, at least, not yet.

Thanks for the help.

The problem is, I seem to have a memory fragment that remembers having that quest disappear from the active quest list. If so, I'm not sure what I did. But it could just all be a figment of my imagination.
