Question

Post by restless »

Alright, so I have several questions about the game, and please, try to spoil as little as possible.

I have reached Downtown and have completed the quest at the Elizabeth Dane, and when the prince wanted me to do another task, I told him to go to hell. Instead I went to "The Last Round" to see if I could hook up with the Anarch's, but they are still convinced that that I'm a "Cammy" errand boy, is there anything at all that I can do to avoid being LaCroix's humble, unrewarded servant? Or perhaps I will just have to return there and ask him to forgive me?

Afraid that you must do quests for La Croix. Don't worry, it will all come together in the end. It's the games way of giving you enough information about each of the sects so that you can make an informed decision end game.

A lot of the problems that the anarchs face are common problems that the Camarilla have though so regardless of who you are serving you are sorting out the sarcophagus problem anyway... I'm sure the anarchs would be interested in any information you have about it anyway. You may have to play nice - nice with La Croix for a little bit but think of it as using him for your own ends.

Think of it this way - by doing LaCroix's errands, you can keep the Anarchs posted on what he's up to. So, be nice to him for a while. You'll have more options to take the Anarchs side directly as things progress.

structure

the game is structured so that for most of it - the parts before the extended end-game - you MUST do what Lac wants, either willingly or reluctantly.

the game has a lot of linear aspects and even to unlock side-quests you need to advance the main quest, which means doing what Lac wants.

portable grills

merc is the first seller, but after he offers you an item, Larry usually stocks it too. Tseng has the most unique items and he is a great herbalist.

I wondered if he had any powdered deer penis...
but it doesn't even come up as a Malk line of dialogue.

The vendors are :

Merc & Trip (and Bloodbank) - Santa Monica
Larry - Downtown (location, location, location)
Red Spot - Hollywood (his snake-eye specials are worth buying)
Tseng - Chinatown (also sells blood-packs)
