Unseeing eye quest

I can not get out of the lower pit. I have killed every thing & have the completed device, but the door won't open.

hmm, that's weird... I got out fine. perhaps you didn't kill everyone?? I would go back through and check all the rooms... maybe u missed one? I dunno.. just a suggestion...

That's odd, I could get out without killing everything!

Is it the Beholder area you're talking about? You know, the dungeon with lots of ooze that's shaped like a Beholder? If so, the exit's at the bottom.
If not, then you probably got stuck in Ghoul Town and you can't get back up the pit. Go to the upper right corner of the map and walk through the door, you'll end up in the ******* Beholder dungeon.

BTW, the Unseeing Eye is like the easiest monster in the game!

I am in the beholder dungeon & I have been to the exit at the bottom of the map that you are talking about but when I go through it I can not open the door.

I assume you are talking about the secret door in the hallway off the Lich room. I had to try the door 3 or 4 times before it would open for me. And I did not bother to kill everything on the level (I skipped the 2 sets of beholders on the southwest side). You did kill the Unseeing eye, right?
