Ch6 Killing Bodhi...not another bug?!

I'm in Ch6 in Bodhi's lair, and cannot seem to kill Bodhi...
I get her to Near Death, but can't finish her off...
First try...eliminated all hostiles save Bodhi in the room, including Aerie, with Drizzt's help.
Second try...lured Aerie out into the hallway and knocked her out, then went in and eliminated all save Bodhi again...no Drizzt this time...
Have I just missed something that I need to kill her?
The Shadow Thief Arkanis was killed by the vamps upstairs...do I need him or something?

I am taking a shoot in the dark in this, but bodhi is suppose to give a speach. so if she cant see you (invisible, not in her line of sight) she wont die.
That is a shoot in the dark.I hope that will help.

We had the speech, but who knows?

How long did you fight her before giving up? I had to put over 1,000 damage on her, and there was a string on another board indicating this was not unusual. Apparently she has some ridiculous regenerating ability. So it may be a bug, or you may just have to let your party pound her for several minutes.

The answer is simple, told it a many times (though not on this board, performed a search on this):

Just remove your Protection From Undead.

With this active you can't kill her, just like Kangaxx and other undead 'boss'monsters (the ones with speech). It prevents you from getting a too easy kill

I tried it without being a yellow-belly hiding in the shadows...and...tada...no more Bodhi...
Just a normal amount of damage...no apparent regenerating...
I had no protection from undead up when I was fighting her unsuccessfully...
Just imp inv...

For some reason, Drizzt did not join in though...he talked a lot of smack and then didn't make it to the dance...what a loser...
I think I might just keep all the loot I pickpocketed from him and his crew...

Try getting the elven holy water from Elhan, it messes up her regenerating.

How do I stake Bodhi in Ch 6

I have killed Bodhi .. and gone in to the rooms behind her and adjacent to her .. to look for the Lanthorn .. But can't find it.
I found the Cutthroat short sword tho'.
And in the adjacent room some books from Oghma or something ...

I read through the walkthrough and it says I have to stake her after I have killed her .. where do I do that .. there is no staking place in the room behind her (where she is to have receded) .. just a treasure chest which had the cutthroat.
Do I just place a stake in the box that opens .. What .. can't figure out ...

Can't find answers on this prob on search either.

Pliss help someone.

In that same room were u found the cutthroat a sword symbol should appear over Bodhis coffin (assuming you have some stakes), this will finish her and you will the the Lanthorn.

What is it with that scroll about the priests of Oghma???? is it at all relevent.

Archeron .. thanx .. I will try that .. So I basically take a person with stakes into the room for that sword cursor to show up and then I click and I should automatically get a Lanthiorn in my inventory .. right .. that's what I gathered from trodding thru all the archives ...
Those Oghma stuff is for if your romance interest was turned into a vampire .. then you would have to take her back to Temple ruins ... and before that pay a visit to monks in Dock District Oghma Temple to get the info pack

Same problem

I have the same problem, I have cutthroat, but cannot stake Bodhi to get the Lantern. I have stakes out the yingyang, and I have clicked everywhere around that room that has her coffin resembling a Egyptian boat. I got so frustrated, I started a new party just to keep playing.

Gregatkins .. I know exactly what you are feeling .. I was in the same boat yesterday .. if you'll see my several posting on old threads yesterday on Bodhi

The trick was that you have to have at least ONE stake in your inventory while searching her room - the boat type thing .. the cursor will change into sword shape (as tho you can attack it) ... this you then click once .. will show a msg that says Bodhi retreated here .. click again .. will say that Bodhi is dead for good .. never to come back.

Stakes galore

I have several stakes in my inventory. I think each person in my party has two stakes on them. I'll try just one stake on my main character and see what that does.
