>>> Thomas77 comes running into the room, raises a 12 guage to his shoulder, and aims at the tree over the fountain. BLOOOM!! (waking Arno out of his deep slumber) Feather's fly everywhere as a large pigeon falls from the tree. 77 then realizes where's he's at. he suddenly feels embarrassed. he tiptoe's over to the fountain, amidst still falling feathers. slowly bend's over and picks up the bird. then hauls ass out of the room <<<
Mitch:You know, um, something strange happened to me this morning... Chris Knight: Was it a dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sun-god robes on a pyramid with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you?Mitch: No... Chris Knight:Why am I the only one who has that dream?

I sincerely wish we could re-consider this plan from a perspective that involved pants.

SYMISTAN - Terrorists Act 2

I like the aforementioned ideas of jopperm2 (in senate), and I support ideas of socialism (combined with Islamic law, ofcourse).

We must convene a General People's Congress (GPC) to proclaim the establishment of "people's power," change the country's name to the Socialist People's Symistan Arab Jamahiriya, and to vest primary authority in the GPC. We will still need a chief of state/secretary general , because without one, this country is going nowhere.

The GPC is the legislative forum that interacts with the General People's Committee, whose members are secretaries of Libyan ministries. It serves as the intermediary between the masses and the leadership and is composed of the secretariats of some hundred local "basic popular congresses."

Country name:
conventional long form: Socialist People's Symistan Arab Jamahiriya
conventional short form: Symistan

Government type: Jamahiriya (a state of the masses) in theory, governed by the populace through local councils; in fact, a military dictatorship

Capital: Buckville

Administrative divisions: about 10 municipalities (?)

Independence: Not yet declared

National holiday: Liberation Day, March 21 (2005)

Legal system: based Sharia law; separate religious courts; no constitutional provision for judicial review of legislative acts;

Suffrage: 18 years of age; universal and compulsory

Executive branch:
chief of state: Revolutionary Leader ; note - holds no official title, but is de facto chief of state
(Yet to decide who.)
head of government: Secretary of the General People's Committee (Premier)
(Yet to decide who.)

cabinet: General People's Committee established by the General People's Congress
elections: national elections are indirect through a hierarchy of people's committees; head of government elected by the General People's Congress;

Legislative branch: unicameral General People's Congress (NA seats; members elected indirectly through a hierarchy of people's committees)

Judicial branch: Supreme Court

Political parties and leaders: none

Flag description: Not yet decided. It will include green; green is the traditional color of Islam (the state religion)
