Maybe, if you mean down with elevator which needs power and electronic lockpick to use. Haven't ever been able to go there, cause my comp always crashes when I try

My favourite weapon is the gauss pistol. It's also IMO (well, maybe after bozar), the best weapon in the game if you have picked Fast Shot, Bonus Rate of Fire and Sniper and maybe living anatomy too. With decent action points and luck you get 5-6 armor piercing shots per turn, with maybe of 3 of them critical.

Where do you get the solar scorcher or the alien blasters?
I have played through the game several times... found all the weapons except those two... the aliens I have encountered were always unarmed

My favorite weapons are the Vindicator minigun, even tough it should'nt, it does more damage than the gattling laser.... and of course... the pulse rifle

The Solar Scorcher is a special encounter from anywhere on map, after wandering for a while your character might come across a thing known as the "Guardian of Forever", if you reach it walk into it's archway and it'll teleport your character into the past Vault 13 and inside one of the rooms on the floor is the Solar Scorcher.

(If you've played Fallout 1 then it's the room guarded by the Vault Guard that you couldn't enter)

The Alien Blaster is even harder to get than the Solar Scorcher since you have to go North of Modoc and just run around randomly until you meet a "Travelling Salesman", he'll try and sell you a load of expensive gear such as Rippers, Spears or if you're lucky the Alien Blaster.

It's just luck that decides whether he sells the damn gun otherwise you could spend years running around looking for him.

im surprised no one brought uppthe three coolest weapons

louisiana slugger, holy handgrenade and sawed-off shotgun
so cool i use themdespite the despitethe fact there are better weapons (maybe not grenades but still)

The handmade cut down Winchester Rifle is awesome! It packs a serious punch when you have good Perception and the sniper-type perks!
