Do repeating blasters actually shoot faster than regular pistols/rifles? If so, how much faster? I've looked everywhere I can think of, but I can't find anything that gives a definitive answer.
I ask because I'm trying to compare Carth and Canderous, and just from the numbers, Carth looks a lot better (higher dex, two weapons almost as powerful as Canderous's repeater)
However, everyone seems to say in their strategy guides that Canderous is a better character, and I'm assuming that it's not just because he regenerates.
Can somebody fill me in on this one?
Repeating blasters?
I haven't found too much difference in those two. It just depends on your playing style I guess. If you like heavy armor, you can give it to Canderous, if you want versatility with weapons, Carth is good. Canderous also has more vitality. Having both in the party can be fun because they don't like each other. However, towards the end of the game you can get one repeating blaster that makes Canderous an unstoppable blasting juggernaut which puts him ahead of Carth.

Check out this thread (possible spoilers if you are just starting the game). I wrote a little about Carth vs. Canderous
