The Star Wars "Aesthetic"

Post by alpha_hazard »

Has anybody else noticed how everything in the Star Wars Galaxy has a very finished and integrated aesthetic? All the biuldings are the same one each planet and none of them are in absolutely terrible shape...I mean, you never see a shack or an old abandoned house...

It's somewhat annerving to me that everything on each planet looks the same...don't the people in the galazy have any sense of variety?

Jolee's Hut was still integrated into the landscape, just like the buildings on Tatooine or Naboo.

Its all part of that fantasy "look" though isn't it? Its the same with Lord of the Rings - all the buildings blend into one landscape, wherever that might be. The style changes from place to place but within that place everything is more or less perfectly matched.

Guess its more about the attitude of the place and the characters you meet.
