I'm romancing viconia in tob and I want to change her allignment.Are there any special things you have to say to her?I just had the dialogue where she wants to sleep with you ,what should I say or won't it affect her allignment change?

If you want to change her alignment, do not sleep with her. Either tell her you'd be doing it for the wrong reasons, or you want it to be right.

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

In addition to agreeing with Sojourner (as usual), you also have to wait until Yaga Shura has been defeated. Then Vic will sing your praises about the destruction done in your name. You have to verbally backslap her hard at this point, "The death and destruction are terrible...and the fact is was done in my name makes it even worse" or "Since when did I take pleasure in destruction?" You get the idea. Then Vic will start some conversations leading up to her asking if you would like her to try to be a better person. If you say yes, she becomes T-N and becomes a MUCH more bearable NPC.

Nope, she stays N-E through all of SoA. That was one complaint I had really...because Vic *acted* more T-N than N-E at the end...but still left when the Rep hit 19 even after being Geased. A truly evil character would bite their tongue and stick it out under those circumstances (being geased). You can always off those you don't like (and corrupt those you do) AFTER the geas goes away.

Just to clarify... I have ToB installed and I just finished going through BG1 with a bard. I wanted to do the Viconia romance in SoA/ToB. Does this mean I shouldn't sleep with her in SoA if I want her to change to T-N? I thought you have to or the romance dies. Or, are you saying you when I start ToB that I shouldn't sleep with her again? I just don't want to have to go back to an old saved game and re-play a bunch.

In SoA play the Romance normally (yes that means you sleep with her several times).
However....**SPOILERS**
Near the end of SoA (after the attack by the Handmistress of Lloth, Viconia almost leaves the group saying that she is too great a liability now that Lloth is looking for her. You CAN (almost by going on your hands and knees and begging) get her to stay, but she stops sleeping with you at that point.
When the ToB starts at one point Viconia will essentially say, 'The hell with Lloth; let's go have some fun' (I am paraphrasing but not by a lot). It is here you should decline. (You will get your chance later.)

It is a matter of control really. If Viconia thinks that she can control you by sleeping with you, then her alignment will never change.

As I remember she also makes her 'offer' shortly after Saradush is pasted and you slapped her down hard verbally. If you sleep with her, she will think that there is nothing a little 'sex' can't change...and so she never learns to grow into a better person. The response I used (to proceed with the align change) was: We would be doing it for the wrong reasons.
IMO that says it all. Other viewpoints are welcome as always.

Thanks a lot for the help, all!!! I'm just about to the point where she asks for the first time and I didn't want to waste a bunch of time turning her down and waiting for a response that would never come. You guys are awesome!

Weird occurrence, I went through SoA with Jaheira and Viconia (half-orc) and did some prodding in Shadowkeeper to have the romance with Vic, which proceeded on schedule and completed. Now I'm in ToB and Jaheira is hitting on me and not a word from Viconia? What the heck is up with that, thought Jaheira didn't like half-orcs? I do have Manveru's harper plot fix installed, is that what's causing it? I would like the Viconia romance to continue in this game, Jaheira romance is next time....Any suggestions?

@Sabre, actually I hate CLUA, but I guess I could load up Shadowkeeper and change them in there. I did that to prod my half-orc/viconia romance in SoA. Just seems strange that since this is a continued game (in SoA Viconia was vampirized and all, so I think it completed successfully) that the variables would have changed in ToB, and for Jaheira of all people, since she never showed any interest in my half-orc before.
Also, I thought those variables were meaningless in ToB, I must have misunderstood a previous thread. Maybe it's lovetalk variables that are meaningless in ToB?
