Why are they so rude? man...GB rocks

So I've been recently going to another forum site, and these people are just straight up stupid, they are supposed to be "popular" and stuff, so I figured I'd look at it. Well here is something they told me after one thread I made:

righhht, I told them about that stupid guy that came on and put those stupid pics of penisis on here, and how mad most of us were. Yeah I know that it's the internet and all that, but why cant I talk about how stupid it was? It's a perfect example of how great GB is, i love this place, the people here are so freakin nice and have there personalities jumping like right out of the moniter at me, besides, I think we have ALOT more members than they do!

Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you all for being so cool and stuff. This forum website(and unlim1ted

Thanks. I've been banned from forums that claim to be "mature and important" when all the members do is rant about stuff like, the differences between magic and magick, or werewolves and vampires, or PS2 and nintendo for 4 years and then attack any new people who come into the place from sheer boredom. I tended to umm, go off, on those people.

I really like this place myself. There's a sense of acceptance and community here if you can tolerate sarcasm and a certain amount of indecency.

I agree wholeheartedly. I know I am still very new to the GB forum, but it is the only forum I have ever joined/participated in, mostly because of the exact reasons Nasuke talks about (the fanatical devotion by members here to BGII didn't hurt either

)

As a noob I can also assure people that everyone here has been very accomidating. I deliberately made my first thread starter about a potentially touchy subject (bannings)- everyone here, especially older members (ie- Aegis,Fable, DW) responded with the utmost grace and patience. At other forums the "older dogs" really get after new members, and that is exactly what is so awful. I agree with Magrus and Nasuke completely, and everyone else here (except the penis pic people) should take that personally.

Exactly, they were supposed to be mature and stuff, they even talk about sexual things, they are able to use profanity, and alot more, so I thought they were really mature about things... I guess not

@Cuchulain: sorry to hear that, its so stupid how some of these guys are, it made me sick(hehe,not literally) the way they acted. I;m not the only one either, this guy whos a noob asked a simple dating question and they all told him off about it, saying he cant get a girl*sigh*. pathetic.

Yeah, I once got banned for sexual harassing one of the admins of a site like three years ago. Now, granted, that'd be a worthy offense in my book. BUT, she asked me input on a sex dream. I gave it to her, this was OFF the forum. She didn't like my advice and I told her if she didn't like it, she didn't need to use it. She got nasty and said she didn't know why bothered coming to me in the first place, and I said I didn't either and told her to stop wasting my time. Apparently, that was grounds for her to ban me.

I can't help it if people have repressed frustrations and denial problems. I can't be held liable for what someone comes to me for OFF of a forum and punished for it ON a forum.

I love the forums about how to put this, "mystic discussions" too. Everyone is right and superior, and they just rant at each other. Apparently I'm a loser because I can accept someone else's beliefs and still have mine.

I'm a loser because I don't bite someone's head off for believing in something different than me too. I'm not talking children either, I'm talking anywhere from 15-70 with these people. The whole "expand your mind and horizen's" crap that draws people in gets turned into "my god's better than your's" on every friggin page. It's terribly stupid.

I can just picture how it was: An angelic choir in the background was singing soft "aaahhhhs" and a bright beam of sunlight shot down from heaven and filled the Citadel as Magrus restored everyone back to life.

About the whole nasty people in nasty forums thing- I've only been in GB, which is awesome, and Unlim1ted Forums, which has a lot of GB members on it. It rocks too.

Indeed, I'm getting drunk on vodka, sierra mist and grenadine at the moment. My roomy just got busted for blowing the 200 dollars his mommy gave him to pay a ticket months ago because they got a letter saying his license was revoked. SOO I'm getting twisted before watching the show when he gets home.

@Nasuke and all: I don't think it's fair to bring other forum's problems here, especially quoting users and trying to discredit them. If you have a problem somewhere else, try to solve it there. I think T'lainya has already closed a thread similar to this...

Anyway, I'm glad GB has such a good reputation and you like it here
