"Please insert the original CD..."

Post by Hybrid »

That is the words I get when I'm trying to start Tob. Why? I have the original CD so it shouldn't be a problem.

Firstly, make sure it is the Throne Of Bhaal CD that you have in.

If so, go to My Computer and make sure that the CD is being read. If the CD does not appear it means that the cd is either dirty or damaged and needs cleaning or repair.

If the cd is correct and readable you can download a crack, although they are illegal, other than that return the cd to where you bought it.
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.

Problem solved. I just patched ToB and then it ran smoothly. Thanks anyway!

It's a pretty well-known problem that a lot (including me) had when trying to play ToB for the first time. It worked prefectly in the store, but not for me, but it goes away if you either play directly from auto-start, if you try enough times (works like each 4:th or something like that), or the best, as you've already found out, patch it. :)
