So, would you prefer to be a 13th level fighter with that extra half attack, or a 12th level ranger with the freebie 2-weapon style points (3 overall) dual-wielding, and with the access to druid AND cleric spells?

Place your bets here, folks......anyone got an opinion?

I think the extra attacks are *very* important for a warrior class. And a level 12 fighter already has 8 slots. Shouldn't that be enough, even for the two-weapon style?

I lean towards having the druid spells along with the Cleric spells, that tips the balance for me.

I'm still experimenting with it. She's not really high level yet in my current game (Ranger 9, Cleric 10).

Only real bad thing is the SLOW leveling compared to Druid, she loses a lot of spell firepower in the middle chapters.

@get4th:
1. You have created a mixed class ranger/cleric most probably. But the mixed class was not the reason I posted this topic. Consider a DUAL class: Your ranger/CLERIC can get level 20 or so as a cleric. At that time, he gets plenty of spells (9 spells per spell level without bonus spells). Healing spells become less important: you will have 2 rings of regeneration and 1 (or 2) ring of Gaxx. That is the time when the ranger/CLERIC becomes extremely powerful:
a) he can cast all cleric spells at level 20
b) he can cast all druid spells at level 20!
c) he has base thaco 7 - with good dexterity and good weapons, he has thac0 about 0, i.e., a good thac0 for a cleric.
d) he has good saving throws (the cleric's ones)
Throughout the whole game:
e) he can put ++ into weapon skills and +++ into 2 weapons style (he is still a ranger).
f) he has plenty of pluses for weapon skills - as a ranger, he gets 8 and as a cleric he gets next ones.
g) he can use all blunt weapons, i.e., the best weapons as far as weapon resistances are concerned.
h) he can wear any armor and use any shield.
i) you have somebody for Sling of Everard
j) he gets ranger's stronghold, i.e., the Moon Dog Figurine.

Right, right....I simply used the example that I have experimented with Jaheira as this in a multiclass format, and IT is significant enough. I still plan to use a Dualled Ranger/Cleric in another run thru the game, eliminating the need for Mr. "What is it NOW!".....I agree 100% that this combo is very potent, as I have seen with the Jaheira experiment (considering that at 9/10 she is not too far off from the dualled character at the same experience.) It is the potential for the higher levels that make a Protagonist R/C really shine.

Nice char, Radek - have you tried the Sling of Seeking? It's the one that gives you a strength bonus for damage (non-magical & physical).

Oh, and don't forget spells like "Holy Power" for that 7th/20th Druid. When you get there, tell me how it is to fight with a 20th level fighter, if only for a time....

OK, I'm off to find this character hack.

Nothing special happens. An example of casting Draw Upon Holy Might + Righteous Magic + Champion's Strength:
STR = DEX = CON = 24, AC -13, HP 181, main hand thac0 -9 (Skullcrusher), off hand thac0 -7 (Flail of Ages), damage +12, attacks 3. Click on "Improved Haste" button on the Ring of Gaxx and you obtain a normal machine gun. Also, if you think that the AC is bad you can try the Sentinel shield and get AC -18. When the Draw Upon Holy Might wears off then STR is still 24, i.e., thac0 and damage does not change. This will last for a long long time.
