Personal Class?

Post by Kheldar4 »

Here's an overused question for you ppl today. If you were a D&D character what race, class, alignment would you be? Also what weapon specilization, skills,(and if applicable) spells, and diety would you have?
In my case, I think I would be a thiefling socerer/rouge. I would be chaotic neatrul, fight with a crossbow and a pair of daggers. I am not really that much of a religious man so i wouldnt worship any diety. And my arcane stratagy would probely just be protection from evil, iimproved invisability and gate.
What about you?

Shield Dwarf, Dwarven Defender Prestige Class, Lawful Neutral (just protecting the hall, right?), Specialized in Axes and Hammers, Moradin would be my deity (I have to scream somebody's name before whacking off orc heads!)

Diety? Is that sg new for overgrown characters? :D

I could never ever play anything else than a human or half-elf female wizard... I kinda bored of myself b/c of it, I have always felt the need to try out sg else but whenever I started with fighter or rogue I just missed the excitement of it... These characters were more like a skill-tryout than roleplaying. So, after many times of trying, I still stick to a human Mage :) Usually I take a couple of fighter skills to be proficient with shortbow, but that's the only weapon I'm willing to use sometimes - I would never even think of touching a staff or a sling!

hehee.. I would be a human monk with nunchakus (I have them in real life too :D ).. ok well maybe you don't have them on IWD2 but I would like to, cause they are so much fun :) I think I would be chaotic good. I do good things and I'm nice to people but I sometimes bend the law a bit (I drive too fast and things like that). I would make myself a powergaming character cause I tend to do it in the game too :D I would be as strong as possible.. and trust me I've been trying to do that. Kheldar what's your avatar? I remember that it's some CD cover or something.. is it made by Derek Hess?

What exactly is that?

Yeah, I forgot the alignment - cahotic good, no other choice for me :)

When you create a character, do you want it to resemble your own personality? I mean, do you give stat points according to your own skills/abilities? When you play, do you do what YOU would do in that situation or do you try to play out the character (like, trying to think like a dwarf and such)?

Nunchakus are two sticks joined with a chain. You can roll them around your hands like crazy. It's just great fun. I just do a lot powergaming so I don't really think about stats as my own. If I can lift 90kg, how much woud my strength be in RPG? :D Ofcourse carry weight would be more. Oh and how do you define dexterity? I'm flexible but I'm not as fast as possible. I have good reflexes. What would that make then? I think I have a fairly good carisma compared to other finnish people :D so I think I'll have a high charisma. Intelligence is not too good (I'm not to good with mathematics). I have no clue what my wisdom is :D

A flail, then?

STR 16
CON the remaining
DEX 14
INT 10
CHA 17
WIS 10

What say? :D

I usually put more scores on INT, CHA and DEX for my char, but I honestly admit that I wouldn't get too much for WIS or CON :D

OK then :) not actually a flail. It has no blade. Just too sticks with a chain on the middle. Do a google search and you will know ;) I like to use dex much too cause it's good for AC.

Me, myself and darkwind

Well... Human would be obvious choice since I´m one :D but drow suits me better. Although I don´t have magic resistance as they do... The racial bonuses wouldn´t all be same either, but other than that I´d be a drow elf  But serously talking... Mysterious, powerful(although evil usually), skilled with large swords and bows etc.. ranger/rogue/wizard. Ranger for free dual-wielding feats, rogue for evasion and sneak attack and wizard for some spell power.. Spellsword/Mage killer/scout. Thats what I came up with a little thinking :)

For nunchaku, think of Michelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

If we're talking about what kind of character I'd fit most accurately, I'd be an NPC human commoner. If we're talking what character I'd be ideally, if provided the opportunity, and if reality is suspended, I'd probably be a half-elf. I say half-elf over human or elf mostly because of my personality, but also because of my stature. I'm not as flighty as elves supposedly are, but I'm about the size, build, etc. that half-elfs are described as. I figure I'd be a ranger/rogue.

I'm pretty light and quiet, so sneaking about would be my main activity. I'm also comfortable in the woods and such (if not totally trained in woodland survival... but we can pretend), and I'm very interested in flora and the things it can do, in terms of medicinal purposes, etc. But I also think I'd get a kick out of successfully stealing things. I'd be more a cat-burglar than a pickpocket, though.

In terms of combat, I'd focus mainly upon archery, with probably a shortbow. They do less damage, but they're smaller and easier to carry around, and I like mobility. I'd take a short sword and a dagger/knife as well. Melee weapons are kind of a necessity if the enemy gets too close, and I'd like to keep those small as well, for the same reason of mobility. I'd want the dagger over a second short sword or something of a similar size because daggers are usable in extremely close quarters, easily hidden, and can be thrown. Based purely on speculation, I think I'd be more comfortable with the smaller blade anyway.

Since i am general a good guy in real life I would want to be a chaotic evil tiefling blackgaurd or a cleric of Bhaal. To bad his deity was killed or had his job taken by a bhaalspawn. Duel wield a flail and a broad sword. Awesome.

Yeah just like Michelangelo :D but I always liked Rafael more cause Sai's are cool. I have to get me two of those. A Sai dualwielding thief :D that would be a nice one. Too bad they don't have Sai's in these games. Galuf I don't know should we discuss about these things in these forums. But I don't see why not. Weird and new topics keep me coming to these pages more often so what's the harm?

Myself, I could never stand being a cleric or serving a diety, why worship a god when you can become one instead..

If I made a character that was like me it would provbably be like this:

Race: Tiefling (i.r.l my haicolor is dyed red, i'm also about 2 meteres tall and sometimes I wear my red lenses and all together it really makes me look trully evil and demonic, and that's in real life too! God, i'm cool. "
Class: Thief/Fighter (a samurai type) (it's just my style. I.r.l i train Iaido, a japanese sword-drawing tecnique so skill is important.
Alignement: Probably True Neutral ocr maybe Neural good..
Skills and feats and equip: I would weal one katana, no shield, no armour (i'll wear japanese samurai clothes instead.) I would probably wield boots of the noth or I would freeze to death, haha. Alla skills and feats are concentrated on stealth, dexterity, skill and speed.
Abilities: High dex, high int, high cha, low con, middle stre, middle wis....

And tha's preetty much me in both IWDII and in real life!

And that's probably it
You guys are my best friends, we've always been together, we're four of a kind laughing all day and palling away, we're best friends!
