11th level wizard...

My wizard is 11th level but can only cast up to 3rd level spells. I have selected 4th & 5th level spells but they do not come up in battle. His character sheet shows them but says that he has 0 left out of however many even after sleeping. I also have Jarial in my group but his spells do work.

first there are no wizards in POR only sorcerers.

second, make sure your CHARISMA is high enough to cast the spells.

you need 14 CHARISMA to cast 4th level spells, you need 15 CHARISMA to cast 5th level spells, etc.

Heres somemore info for you... there are also Clerics in POR and their spells depend on Wisdom, for the most part. The one exception is Turn Undead which depends on Charisma. All of this you can read for yourself in the Player's Manual.
Watch out for rings, amulets, gloves boots even armour, that can boost your characteristics or, WORSE, reduce them!! Hope this helps...Good luck.
