Problem with Isaea Roenal quest (possible spoilers)

Post by Deriel »

Could someone please tell me how to finish this quest? Nalia has been captured, I got the book from the Roenal Estate in the government district, and I got the papers from the guy I killed in the Sea's Bounty Inn(so I have the two pieces of evidence I need to convict him). But when I talk to Corgieg in the main government building nothing happens.

Also on what seems to be another broken quest is i can't free Iltha (?) from the dungeon in windspear hills. I have the key and the cell door is open, but I can't get him to leave. Any suggestions?

Any help is appreciated.

Cripes! That's two UGLY bugs you suffered. I fear that there's no easy solve to come by though save starting all over again. Hope others have a better tip for you.

Yeah, I really hope so too Image

Looks like I'll have to do about a days worth of stuff over again (Well.. maybe not since I spent like 5 hours on both of those quests, not to mention about 2 hours trying to kill the wolfwere (and failing). Ugh.

This may help. When you talk to the government district dude, you have to tell him about all the pieces of evidence you have individually. After each one he says 'thats not enough on it's own' so you tell him another. I think there are three, his book, that note you took perhaps and just the fact that you heard others say he was bad (I can't remember exactly). Finally he says that that is enough for an investigation and you get Nalia back. I must say that even then I felt the quest was uncompleted, I don't know if there's any more after that.

As for the other problem, have you killed the dragon yet? If not, killing him may give the game a jolt and set things straight. Not likely but maybe worth a try...

No Juro, that doesn't work. I'm only given one dialogue option and Corgieg says something along the lines of "You need an appointment and should schedule one to see Roenal" or something.

And last time I tried to kill the dragon I don't think I could even do any damage.. I'm not high enough yet, still in act II.

I took down the dragon in act II. The reason you can't hurt him is probably stoneskin. After you cast breach he still seems to get about four free hits (*$#@!@%*&# game) but after that you can hurt him as usual. But I won't go into dtails there. There are other posts and strategy guides on that if your interested.

For the other quest: Did you actually talk to Barg in the docks district? I just thought maybe you read the walkthrough and decided to skip that part and go to the sea bounty tavern. If so, that may be the problem. You need his testimony. If not, I really don't think there is anything else you can do. It must be a game bug. Could you possibly reload and do it again?
