Game doesn't freeze but I can't move

Post by Mavrik »

I had to reload and then use the sewers to get around this area because it did not matter which direction I was going. Leaving or heading to the Last Round Anarch bar near the wall with the fence and gargoyals a voice calls out "Wait up!" Its a male voice but no one shows up. I can't move forward, backwards or anything. Whats weird is I can move the camera to look around, like swing it so I can see behind me while facing forward. My character WILL not do anything at all. This only began to happen when the Prince sent me to talk to Nines to inform him the Blood Hunt was off... I had to quit/reload from my last save and take the sewers to get there and then again when I left to cut past that corner of the street near the wall with the gargoyals because going either way, the same thing happens. Male voice asks me to wait and nothing happens.

The male voice you hear is that of Beckett he pops up to give you a cryptic warning and then buggers off being no help at all. Have you waited for a few seconds for him to appear? If not then do so otherwise it might well be *another* bug in which case either patch you game or just do what you're douing and avoid him entirely.

Actually, you can't avoid this particular situation, and it is definitely a bug. It always happens in the same place, though, so the solution is to simply move slowly through that area. That way you won't outrun Beckett. He'll give you his obligatory warning, and then you're free to go. The problem is running through the zone before Beckett gets your attention.

ok cause I always ran lol, never used the walk function unless lining up to an interactable object. I got around it by taking the sewers, well in my next game I'll remember to walk.

Beckett

I found the same as the person above - if you run and have good strength/dex he can't catch you and the game freezes your character to the spot.

just move slowly when heading to the last round on that quest and when you hear the voice, stop.
