sierra army base: extraction question

Post by magalina »

What are the requirements for getting the cybernetic brain? I can't retrieve it with 100% science skill and 10 INT...
And another thing: I want to extract Myron's brain (because he's an annoying little weasel), I place him in the extraction room, start the computer, select species:human and organ:brain, then start extraction, but I always get the message "subject isn't in the extraction room". What am I doing wrong here?

As for extracting the cybernetic brain, then I do belive you need a higher science skill then 100. I've never had enough science skill to do it personally (have never had the desire for Brainbot), so I can't help you with the needed level.

As for Myrron, well it sounds as a bug to me. Try placeing another NPC in there and see if it works on him (remember to save and all that :) )

You need 121% science to have a chance at getting the Cyber-Brain. I'm not sure what you're doing wrong with Myron, I agree it sounds a bit like a bug. Did you patch the game?

My game is patched.
I also tried with Vic, same thing. Do they need to be at a specific position in the extraction room (near the table for example)?

I only tried extracting a NPC brain once, so I cna't really remember, but I'd personally think they should just be in the extraction room.
But try placing them neare the table if you can.

But naturally - it can still be a bug, eventhought he game is patched.

I've never been able to extract an NPCs brain. The cybernetic brain is much better anyway, so I'd go with that one.

All you need to do is take the NPC in the extraction room. The one with the table. Its a good way to rack up evil points. If I can I like to extract several of my followers brains there especially the Pariah Dog encounter. Very good evil points for doing that.

You CERTAINLY need more than 100% science skill if you wanna extract Cybernetic brain. But its worth it! (Give that robot a Gauss72 rifle... I swear!)

Just giving it a combat Shotgut is an utter waste of its talent!

Yea, I did that too. Gave bot a gauss rifle. Suprisingly how high critical change that bot has.

ok admit. gaussrifle is better. just that all those non armor NPCs are pretty fragile and hard to fight big battles with em... Normally if use in Enclave this secret tec "Kill em all" bots, marcus, and Gorgon dies very soon... Normally only take Sulik and Cassidy with me...

but still it´s funniest to do it alone :)

You mean in Navarro or Encalve base? In Navarro I leave them on gas station and kill all by myself. In Enclave i leave them in first room where you fight Frank. He never fights me or my companions. He always attacks those enclaves that want to help you first.Well, if you dont attack first of course.

I take them with me to carry my ammo, and (try to) let them stay behind.
