Killing Darth Sion **possible spoiler**
Killing Darth Sion **possible spoiler**
I am new here and am going through KotOR2 for the first time as a ls char. I've only tried killing Darth Sion once and failed (almost had him killed too!). Anyway, he kicked my butt majorly! I was able to reduce his will but I could never put him in stasis and I spent the majority of the time turning on my energy shields and healing myself and getting a hit in every now and then. The thing is, when I didn't have my energy shield on, every time he would hit me, it would take like 75 points or so (hence most of my time spent on energy shields and healing). I used master critical strike most of the time but was wondering if another type of attack worked better. Anyway, he really kicked my butt and I'm hoping that doesn't happen again next time I fight him. Can anyone help me out with some strategies or something? Thanks!
Need more info really, class, force powers etc.
But as a guide try equipping items that enhance WIS and CHA to put him in stasis. Also try force wave as it will damage him even if he makes his save.
Do you have demo skill? Try planting some mines before the battle as he only appears as you aproach the outer door.
Stims are also useful as are any powers such as Valour, Speed, Battle Meditation, or Energy resistance

Jedi Sentinel, lots of LS force powers. Don't have demolitions skill so can't set up mines. I've tried using stims, energy resist, etc but while I am trying to do that, he is cutting me in half with his lightsaber. I'll have to look and see if I have force wave or not. The strategy guide suggested hiding behind a pillar and throwing your lightsaber so I might give that a try. Thanks for the help!
Sabre-throw is crap- your best stategy might just be a direct assualt with all of your defensive force powers- Enlightenment will save time. Have you invested in flurry or just Critical Strike? Flurry combined with Master Speed is awesome. Also, make sure to use Makashi instead of Niman for this fight.

Yeah the "one-on-one" Jedi lightsaber form. Activate Force Enlightenment, you should be doing this anyway. Perhaps an energy shield or two, BUT the place I think you may be going wrong is using Master Critical Strike. Despite the wider threat range, you still only get a max of three hits with Master Speed (maybe only two). ALSO many of the bosses are immune to critical hits.
Basically, flurry is the way to go. If you get a keen item on your lightsaber, you should get a few criticals anyway. But you are SURE to get a few good hits in. Make sure your lightsaber is fully upgraded as well, once you beat Sion look for the workbench in the academy.
But Force Enlightenment should make you a pretty special opponent. Don't just spend all your time stimming up, you can over-do it. Wack FE on and lay into him a bit, maybe an energy shield, and just keep using a life-support pack or Master Heal every now and then when you get to say.... half health. You should have a reasonable Treat Injury skill by now regardless of your class.
EDIT: for Force Enlightenment you should have most of the powers in the Speed, Armor/Aura, and Valor series. These are then activated at a VERY low cost.

without more info about your stats like strength i cant really help but i will say that force enlightenment is your best chance and try mater flurry with it, when i came up against sion i activated force enlightenment and it only took me two flurry's to take down all his health.
i didn't bother with energy shields although i will say that it does help to have a high treat injury and a few life support packs just in case.
If you take the time to build up your defence then it doesn't matter if he hits you a few times because it does next to no damage. a god balance of strength an dexterity helps alot.
hope this helps. let me know your stats and i can help you a bit more.

Easy
First, find a merchant who carries an infinite number of medpacks. Buy a crapload of them. A CRAPLOAD, I say. Then, set your game to auto-pause whenever you spot an enemy or switch targets. Now, whenever you see an enemy (like whenever Sion becomes hostile again), you can go the the start menu and use as many as you want. Being able to fully heal between each round is surprisingly helpful. If you set it to also pause when you switch targets, this makes Kreia a pushover. Whenever your health gets low, switch targets, pause, and heal.
