Pause time in multiplayer game

Post by Thrifalas »

I'm thinking of going for soloing a multiplayer game, thus controlling 4 chars by my own. Everyone who has tried that knows that it has, unlike a normal single-player game, about 2 sec minimum time before you can unpause again.

I'm wondering if anyone know anyway to get rid of it? Surely, someone else must have been distrurbed by that... Well, thanks for letting me know.

If you're the only person who's going to be playing then create the game in multiplayer as you had planned and create all your characters. Then immediately save the game as soon as you're able in the dungeon. Exit BG2 and then go to the 'mpsave' folder in your BG2 directory. Open it and then copy the folder of the game you just saved, paste it into the normal 'save' folder, then restart BG2. You can now load your game like you would normally within BG2 without having to start a multiplayer session :)

You'll have control over each of the custom characters. Hope this helps.

Whoa, that means eliminating the equally annoying load-screen where you have to acknowledge each and every char before you can load. If this works it's more than I'd hoped for, thanks a lot! :D
