Coran? Safana? Wheeeeeere...
"P. NPC Portrait Restorations
This component restores the portraits to the various NPCs found throughout the game. Specifically, character portraits have now been restored to Coran, Safana, Faldorn, Garrick, Xzar, Tiax, and Quayle. "
/ "Unfinished Buisness"-Mod from pocketplane
I've always wanted to ask, I've no idea why I havn't done it, how many and where you meet all the characters from BG1 in BG2. I've obviously noted Imoen, Jaheira, Khalid, Dynahier and Minsc, and in the big city I know where Xzar, Tiax, Quayle, Faldorn and Edwin is, and prolly some I don't remember.
But Coran, Sadana and Garrick? I've never seen those - and if they are there, there's a possibillity of Xan, Branwen, maybe Ajantis and everyone else I don't know where they are... I'm feeling kind of stupid not having noticed those, if they are in the game, as I believe to have done everything there is to do... or, believed.
So, my simple question is where do you find Safana, Garrick, Coran and the other ones?
But in front of Suldanassellar? Hmm, I think I would have noticed him then :/
I don't think he looks the same. Try passing your cursor over random elves standing around and you'll probably see his name pop up somewhere.

Washing your hands is important if you cook your breakfast.
Coran is in one of the forest regions just outside Suldanessellar, looking for his girlfriend or something.
Ajantis is one of the paladins you accidentaly kill upon entering the Windspear Hills because of Firkraag's illusions. If Keldorn is in your party, he will identify his body.
Lol, which girlfriend? Coran has about ten in the original Baldur's Gate! He's a pimp! Or a gigilo, I guess (Don't know how to spell that one, sorry).

Sorry to disappoint you, but they were left outs.
Branwen was a great cleric, but I always liked my little dwar, Yeslick, a great fighter/cleric.
I know Alora is added in one mod, and I'm sure you can find mods for others.

In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.
And actually Dynaheir is only nominated by Minsc, but does never appear (it's supposed to be dead, killed by Edwin in BG1).
As for Kalid, there is no an alive Kalid in GB2!
Minsc states in the beginning of the game that the attackers that got you into Irenicus' dungeon also killed Dynaheir (her death will be avanged!). Also, Edwin does not mention killing Dynaheir in my games, but maybe he does if you imported a game from BG1 where he actually did?
Awesome, thanks, I'll make sure not to miss them in my next game.
That just leaves Branwen, Xan, Shar-Teel... I think. They were left-outs or do just no one knows where they are? Or well, I s'pose you can't know for sure ^^.
Xan is present in the Tutorial.

The game does not track whether or not Edwin killed Dynaheir.
But Minsc still goes on about how the same person who captured them also killed Dynaheir at the very beginning of the game, no? And since Edwin obvious isn't the one, he can't be involved?
Dynaheir was probably killed by vampires when she and Minsc came looking for you after your capture. Take a look at Minsc's racial enemy in BG1 (gnolls) and his racial enemy in BG2 (vampires). Minsc's witch, Dynaheir, was captured by gnolls in BG1, and vampires work for Irenicus in BG2, so I think his racial enemies are more than just coincidental.
When you meet Edwin in Mae'Var's guildhall, Edwin asks Minsc what happened to Dynaheir. Since Minsc witnessed Dynaheir's death with his own eyes and doesn't blame Edwin for it, you can be sure that Edwin was not the killer.

Watch the dialogue carefully when Coran meets you in BG2. There is actually a new character who would literally kill to be his girlfriend.
