Concerning Keldorn and his Quest...

Post by rightXbrigade »

So I just finished Keldorn's Quest. He talked with Lord Thorpe or whatever his name was and did not fight him but saw that he was wrong. He wished to go back to his wife to talk to her and I went with him. There I chose to give him a day with his family but his wife asked me what will be after we rescued Imoen and Keldorn says that rescuing Imoen would be his last Quest, and he would return to his Family afterwards.

My question now is: Does he really leave the party after I rescued Imoen??? I mean does he just go? Or does he stay with me until the end of the game?
I played the game through already once but with a different party and Keldorn was not in it so I have no clue if he might REALLY leave the party right after I got Imoen back.
Can anyone of you please answer me this cause I really want to keep him, he's the only NPC Paladin in the game and my main character is a Kensai Mage... so please help me out!

Don't worry, he'll stay with your party.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

The game is considering defeating Irenicus to be part of rescuing Imoen.

Can't you bring him into TOB?

Doesn't that bely the reason in having that quest?

I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.

You can bring him into ToB. I found him to be one of the most useful NPC's because he can create Planetars and stuff.

To me he is the one unmissable character in the game with his dispel, true sight, and wielding Carsomyr with gauntlets of dexterity.

@ Christophe I definitely agree. He is immune to hold so if I need to free another character he does the job.

I can only agree to all of you... when I played BG II the first time I had Viconia in my group as I wanted a pure Cleric, as you all know, Keldorn and Viconia don't get along, so I did not have him in my party.

This time I am still in Chapter 2 but I already have the party that I plan to keep until the end cause it's the best party I played so far:

Me - Kensai (lvl 9)/ Mage (lvl 11)
Keldorn
Korgan
Jaheira
Jan (I am going to exchange him with Imoen later on)
Edwin

Edwin is unbelievably good... also the discussions between the party members rock. Check out this line Korgan threw at Jaheira recently when I accepted the Trademeet Quest. Korgan gets pissed when thinking about having to kill a bunch of forrest animals, so Jaheira tells him that he is not supposed to kill them and that this is not their job. He yells at her:

"I will if I wish to, ye blasted tree-hugging, pansy-eating dirt lover. I'll bite th' head off a bloody dove if th' thought crosses me mind!"

Damn I fell of my chair cause I laughed so hard...
