I know this question will probably make the veterans of this board groan inwardly and instill in them the urge to apply some entropy and heat to my newbie behind. Still I would have done a search on this except the search engine runs slower than molasses right now.
How the hell have my fellow BG nuts managed to kill that overgrown simian at the lowest level in Watcher´s Keep? He´s wiping the floor with the guts of my powergaming party. I manage to land a few blows on him but then it´s reload time. So I´ve had to take the cheesy route and entomb him with the wand given by that Helmite.
So if you have a good tactic that works, please share it.

believe me, i feel your pain. i prolly should've waited until AFTER i smarted off to demomonkey to install the baldurdash patch that makes it even harder. i don't know how tuff the original was, but the one i'm steppin up to is rippin me, my party, and all my summoned deva's and prince elementals to shreds.

yes, there are plenty of posts on this board on strategies to kill demogorgon. i've killed him twice now. just a couple things to do:
greater whirlwind all of your fighters
set a contigency with your spellcaster with a couple pierce magic spells and one damage spell of soem sort.
do NOT use timestop, he is immune to it and will kill your party.
ignore all of the summoned in demons, if they are causing too much trouble, i like using limited wish to summon bunnies to keep them busy.
keep giving your guys greater whirlwind, and he should in the first few rounds.
if your spellcaster has wish, use that and hope for something really good

I would be a serial killer if i didn't have such a strong distaste for manual labor

yeah, SINCE MY GAME IS STUCK!!!...i had nothing better to do. Just beat that freak finally. Focused my spell casters on him, removing all spell and combat protections followed by lower magic resistance. had my fighters focus solely on him since he'll keep summoning his underlings. and of course the devas and elemental princes helped.
