romance global settings.....
so, i checked the settings on mine and jaheira's romance, cuz she'd been quiet for a noticeable period of time. it said 3@#$%$. does 3 mean the romance is over? if so, that sux considering i didn't do anything to turn her away, although she always did seem the moody type.

Yes, when JaheiraRomanceActive is set to 3, her romance is over. Was she imprisoned/petrified/killed at any time? Any of these terminate the romance.

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

no....i once responded to a conversation somewhere along the lines of, "don't worry, my own mistakes seem to have trouble killing me, it'll be alright."
she said, "i don't think you've ever tried this hard"
no more since....i didn't think my response was that big a deal. of course my game is jacked anyways considering i didn't get teleported to solar after beating balthazar.....thereby leaving me stuck. i may just have to play the whole expansion again....i have a save right before the first battle.

you've got to enable cheats first off. go to you BG2 directory and open up the baldur.ini file. under the heading GAME OPTIONS you must then type "cheats=1" you can now access the CLUAConsole by pressing ctrl+spacebar. You must then type
CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("JaheiraRomance","Global")
A 1$^&^$& i believe means the romance has not begun. A 2#$!^@ means the romance is underway. A 3!#$!% means the romance is concluded.

The JaheiraRomance variable is the timer for Jaheira's romance - it lets the game know when to kick off the next event. JaheiraRomanceActive is the variable which controls which stage of the romance you're in: 1=starting, 2=going well, 3=over.

Yes, but that still doesn't explain why this number (4504409) appeared after typing
-- CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("JaheiraRomance","Global") --
in the console, instead of the romance status (1, 2 or 3)
MOD : Maybe it does, I'll go check it out now.
MOD 2 : Nope, didn't work

Already tried that and it didn't work.
That's why I added the 2 "MOD's" in my previous post.
At the first MOD, i tried what Sojourner said (after reading his message again) and MOD2 was just for saying that it didn't work.
The only thing that appeared in my console was "JaheiraRomanceActive set to 2" or something like that.
Are you sure the cheats have to be enabled (cheats=1) ?

I'm near Abazigal's lair now.
The last thing Jaheira said to me was :
**
J : Make sure not to become a god ...
PC : Don't worry, I'll still be here tomorrow
J : Tomorrow, that's just one day, think about the rest, please think about the rest ...
**
I guess that was it, but after that she hasn't spoken to me anymore, so I'm not so sure about the romance still "going strong"
But who cares anyway ?
Abazigal awaits ...
Thanks for your help.

"...Tomorrow... one day... What of the rest? Please, think about the rest." - Sad to say, that's the next-to-the-last romance dialog. When I played a game romancing Jaheira, I didn't get the last dialog until near the end.
