some interesting thing I noticed

Post by s.weasel »

I am playing with a male Ventrue with a Persuasion 7. As you know Ventrues can use dominate over people while speaking plus they are the classiest clan , and naturally they blend in with the crowds.

I am also playing with a female brujah with a seduction 2, and her speech patterns are usually more aggressive and nasty.

But when I enter a bar, I can not do anything with the females that look and say "mmmh?" with the ventrue, but with the brujah they all turn to butter and I can feed on them easily....

Don't you think this is weird? Shouldn't it be the way around ?

:D There must be an advantage of being a woman boys.... ;) :p

The ladies in the game seem to be a bit more interested in the same sex as in the opposite sex....and btw. I think it has more to do with your seduction skill then with your persuasion skill....

D'oh!

Got there first - I was going to say that seduction has more influence on getting a snack than persuasion.

the female characters certainly try for a bump'n'grind when they are snacking.

Well, obviously the seduction feat being more effective is the real reason...

But when you think in reality, would a lady in a bar prefer a classy , handsome, good looking , polite , highly persuasive ( also brain meddling ) guy or a scruffy agressive , nasty , low seductive 2 m. girl with muscles ?

I guess that again depends on the type of bar you go to drink :D

It doesn't really feel turned around. Keep in mind that VtM is a skill based game. So it wouldn't exactly be fair if the Ventrue got a natural seduction bonus just because he looks loaded. Anyway, maybe you can rationalize it that he looks out of place in these clubs, where the Brujah female blends in more. Ultimately, this is just one of the advantages of training the seduction skill, though.

I had better luck seducing girls in the clubs with my Tremere then I did with my Malkavian. Usually on the first try, the girl was all over me (and I played female for both clans) Some girls literally told me to f off lol so I tried again a few times with my Malk and eventually got them seduced.

If your appearance as well as your seduction level has anything to do with it, the Tremere looks a lot better then the butt cheek showing clothes (which I still love) of the Malk female.

Heh. It's little things like that that make it worth saving often as a Malk. It's amazing how hard it can be to chose the correct response, when you don't really understand any of the dialogue choices....

Agreed, the NPCs are not the only ones unsure of what I was saying. I didn't know what I was saying half the time but thats whats all the fun.
