It's a forum to roleplay online in.

I created this forum for SYMistan and other forum-based RPGs that seem to be becoming more popular. There really wasn't a good place to post such threads before, but now there is :) .

Thanks Buck! I've participated in three or four online RPG's, but unfortunately they never seem to survive for long. And yes, I'm partially guilty of that too :D :o . I would love to be involved in a good online RPG, but I don't think I've got time for it right now :(

Well there is a geo-political game called SYMistan. Basically you RP politicians and i DM it. I add in real life issues from the BBC news website. You guys decide on your countries point of view with regard to Iraq, Abortion, what your currency is etc etc. We have a good 10 players so far. We do need more. We start this saturday the 7th of May.

Its a new country placed in territory that was part of Russia, near Checnya. It is a large country 17 million population. Been in civil war for 15 years. You play the political parties in that country and decide the future of SYMistan.

Once the threads are transfered you can read up on it. Or do a search on SYMistan.

It's completely different. (Are you by any coincidence involved in nationstates asking such a question? If not, I would not be surprised, though.)

Just be patient. ;)

SYMistan is the name of the country. Since it started in SYM and is located in a part of the world where it is common to put stan at the end of the name of a country. Like Pakistan, Turkmenistan, SYMistan. :D It's great fun. Be a Democrat, we could use someone good like you.

Well, I wouldn't mind joining one, but I've never done a game at all. I just get and read the books and I've been working on my own game on and off with using those as a guideline.

Anyone that has half a mind for politics and can be a little serious and enjoy it should join SYMistan. It's well thought out and superbly put together. I think you would be a good Democrat with my Magrus, I've discussed politics with you before. Though our character's opinions wouldn't be as diverse as our real opinions I'm sure. :D
