you have to cross "the letters" walk the path ani.... what ever that book is called.
you will have to give a little more party info is you want to know if it is wise to take on the shadow dragon tx'lixite'ulau'uix''luxi'laxi. who do you have in your party and what level?

ups forgot to finish the first part here goes : when you have crossed the letters there are two little rooms. till the right a no-good-dubble-crossing shadow kill him and in the corner of the room the 3rd pice is. to the left where the bone golem are there is a gem you need to get to move on (sun gem)

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the talking shadow that is imprisoned behind the room with letter tiles on the floor has the 3rd piece.
I have no experience on soloing, so you have to take my advice with a grain of salt. However, I'd say the dragon will wipe the floor with your solo lvl 9 Archer (unless you resort to cheese -- it's just that I don't remember any cheesy tricks for rangers). Heck, he isn't a pushover for a full level 9 party.

Heh... a level 9 solo archer goes to face Thaxll'ssillya (sp?) the Shadow Dragon. Thax breathes on him once, and he's a level 7 solo archer. Thax whacks him a couple of times (with his/her stoneskin on), and he's a half-dead level 7 archer. Thax breathes again, and he's a three-quarters dead level 5 archer.Originally posted by Nippy:
@ Garcia he is soloing. One word, NO. At 9th level and as an archer you stand no chance. You would die before you even got him to barely injured. It would be suicide.
Dragons with level draining breath attacks can be hazardous to your health.

dumba$$:
Mekanos:"also i'm lvl 9 SOLO archer, should i go 4 the shadow dragon?"
Garcia":"well first you have to tell me who is in your party"
ahem reading was not one of my strong sides in school
ok you were soloing right you can forget to face the dragon now actually I am a little impressed that you got this far with a level 9 archer. still you can try of course but I cant see that you have any chance (without cheese triks)
