Icewind Dale 1-2, though I always say BG2 is THE GAME for me. For very long, actually, until now I could never imagine a game beating that. I know it's crazy, but I still remember how empty I felt for a few days after I finished it... It was sad, somehow... *sob*

But now - WoW is out :)

RPG's
Knights of the Old Republic (I loved the character interaction)
Arcanum (For some reason I just loved the entire game)
Torment (of course)
Fallout Series (The game that got me into RPG's)

Other
Deus Ex/System Shock 2 (Kind of like Thief but with more fighting and guns)
Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Possibly greatest platform adventure game ever)
Super Smash Bros (Some real good multiplayer memories ;) )
Unreal Tournament (Great intensity and in general just good fun)
Halo (Do I need to justify this one?

Try Fallout 2. Yes, it's buggy, but still very good.

My list, in no order:

Fallout 1&2
BG1&2
Icewind Dale 1&2
Worms -games
Simcity 2000 & 3000 (SC 4 doesn't run in my comp :( )
Shadows Over Riva (Old RPG, but IMO very good one)
Unreal Tournament
Links LS Classic (yes, the only sportgame I like :D )
Heroes of Might and Magic 2 & 3
ADOM
Various MUDs, only fantasy -based

Fallout 2 is the god of RPGs in my opinion, you just can't go wrong with that game; sure it has glitches but the low requirements, deep roleplaying and humour make problems so insignificant.

Other games I enjoy are:

Diablo 2
Deus Ex
Unreal Tournament (many mods)
Quake 3
Diablo
Star Craft
Fallout: Tactics
Freelancer
Super Smash Brothers
Soul Calibur
Earth 2150
Aliens vs Predator (1)

No order mind you, though you *have* to get Fallout 2 to have your existence validated.

Baldurs Gate, SoA/ToB (I don't like BG I that much)
Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings (played this online for years)
Street Fighter II (sega)
Streets of Rage II (sega)
Command and Conquer: Red Alert series
Caesar III
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (I'm waiting for Warrior Within to become a bit cheaper)
Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory
Heroes of Might and Magic III

That's what I can remember, for now anyways. As you can see, I'm not too picky about genres. ;)

hey there!

The best RPG games i ever played are
(old games, may not work on recent PC)
Ultima 5,6,7 (black gate),
wastelan,
fallout 1 & 2
Ultima Underworld

Other decent RPGs:
Gothic,
Gothic 2,
any D&D (and AD&D) games except for Ruins of myth dranor and temple of elemental evil which sucked bad, sadly tho because the plots were good (in IRL rpgs they are :) )
Elder Scroll 1,2,3
Vampire The Masquarade (not bloodlines)
Avernum 1,2,3
Kotor (the second is not so good)
And many others :)

Civilisation 3 conquest as the best strategy game
RTS sucks :)
HL counter strike for FPS
Championship manager, Football manager for managing games
