Your party

I originally posted this on the Baldur's Gate boards but since I have completed that and have imported to start (again) on BG2 I am again curious as to what peoples party preferances are.

I go with:
Me (paladin, oh and he is a Surpreme universe commanding child of bhaal, Lord of Murder for future referance)
Aerie (annoying voiced mage)
Keldorn (Holy Avenger

)
Anomen (whining git but a good cleric)
Minsc (Tank, and comes with a free! Yes Free! giant space hamster!)
Yoshimo (pinhead dancer and theif)

my trying new stuff party:

Valani Darkmour elf ftr / thief
Anomen, always.
Keldorn, dual wields foa & equalizer. (picked him up early enough to set proff's)
Imoen, always.
Mazzy, pleasant suprise.
Cernd, not as bad as i had thought, did not need jaheria's ftr skills anyway w/ this party. really want to see what druids are capable of in tob.

powerwise i liked this party better w/ jaheia & minsc instead of mazzy + cernd. we'll see what happens, wondering who to drop for new tob npc.

Me, Assassin (love those backstabs)

Korgan, unbelievably woopass Beserker, can't understand why anyone wouldn't take him.

Me, woopass Archer I imported from a previous game.

Aerie, whinin beotch but lots of spells.

Edwin, another character you should not be without.

Jaheira, kick ass fighter w/ Staff of Woodlands and gauntlets of ogre power, fire elementals a must.

-My PC (half-elf fighter, melee only)
-Jaheira (good spellcaster, can be useful in melee sometimes)
-Anomen (melee and ranged (Sling) and spellcaster)
-Minsc (melee and ranged fighter with Longbow)
-Valygar (melee)
-Nalia (spellcaster, ranged fighter with the Short Bow of Gesen)

Ftr/ thief dual Tieran (me)
Mazzy- I like her dialogue she sounds sooo nice!

Imoen- You have got to have her, she shares your godhood.
Minsc-His righteous butt-kicking is #1 in BGII FoA/Frost Reaver or crom Fayr when available.
Viconia- Her undead turning is great/ great cleric with lots o' MR.
Nalia- She's the best mage in the game.

Me-ranger: uses bows. Dual wields Hindo's Hand and Crom Faeyr.
Sarevok-Psion blade
Minsc-Bowman and extra tank
Jan- My favorite thief/illusionist
Aerie- OK cleric,w/ mage spells
Edwin- the MAN

This is the party that I am using in TOB:
-ME playin a Thief no special kit.
-Minsc and the mighty Boo(speaking of boo has any ever heard the one when minsc says to you"quit teaching my hamster to suck eggs" just heard this one today lmao.
-Jaheira she is not bad but I will not use her next time.
-Imoen she has been around since the start.
Edwin you would need to shake your head not to take him.
-sarevok One of the better tanks.
Next time I play I would like to try some different people. I need to have a cleric next time.

My entire party is only for conversation I allmost allways solo, I tried use some NPCs earlier but I found them all pretty much useless.

My party, suprisingly, worked really well. It consisted of:

Me (Inquisitor w/ Carsomyr+5)
Valygar (dual-weild Celestial Fury+Equalizer)
Korgan (dual-weild Frostbane+Crom-Faeyr)
Anomen (My romance and a good cleric)
Imoen (Main offensive spell-caster)
Jan (Backup mage and a great thief)

Hang on..

Keldorn and Valygar wielding The Equalizer (usable by 'true' Neutral only)

Anyway..

Jan Jansen, my fav NPC.

So many crypts and ruins that need disarming. Jan is the "gnome" when it comes to mouse traps (put ALL points into traps and locks). Also thanx to those Illusion spells and cloak of non-detection, is the finest sneak. Armed with his frazelthingy and disable/dispel spells, he makes an incomparable Mage Slayer. Imowho?

Besides, you have to adore all his interactions.

Kensai-Mage
Stalker-Cleric
Swashbuckler-Mage
Priest of Helm-Mage

These three practically make up a party all by themselves:
Jan
Jaheira
Aerie

On top of that:
Imoen: Sister.
Keldorn: Master of cheese, placeholder for brother Sarevok.

Cernd shouldn't dual-wield at all. He gets a -2/-2 (or was it -2/-4?) with only one * in dual-wielding. Let him fight in his werewolf forms instead.

My part before: (it was good one and i completed the game SOA and got all of them to the exp limit)
ME (Undead Hunter with dual Katanas... dont remember which, i think Celestrial Fury and something else good)

Minsc (Minc will lead with blade and boot, Boo will take care of the details. I wanted him to have that two-haned sword from Red Dragon cos it rules but only for Paladins and i couldnt hit crap with it. So he had 2 handed sword Jorill dagger or whatever that i bought from Aventurers)

Anomen (He had damn good shield and a damn good mace and a damn good armor 'n a damn good spells... dont remember names

Jaheira (Not bad fighter and not bad spells specially with that equpment i gave her hehe. Oh yeah she was my %#tch

Jan (good one i must say.)

Aerie ( When her and Jaheira started to argue about who i like most i wanted to choose like LEAVE ME THE F%&/ ALONE but there was no thing like that even with 20 Charisma so i jus said Jaheira since she is not that childish and whining all the time )

Now i started a new game as Ranger (with two Katanas again since i am im a wanna be Samurai and have all old movies about them like Yojimbo hehehe

and wanted some other folks in my party. I was always good and stuff and guys that whoop ass were bad (Edwin, i wanted him but i knew that Minsc and him will fight to deah. Korgan, good warrior but always *****ing about how good and nice i was.) Minsc is one good who is bad ass.

So now i have:
ME (Ranger, 2 Katanas or 1 Katana and one good Long Sword)

Keldron (Good warrior, though after his wifes quest when i came back to get him after he spent one day with his family he said that he felt like father again and said LETS GO RESCUE YOUR IMOEN FAST SO I CAN GET BACK TO MY FAMILY. I was standing there like F/%#. I felt like it was real life. i almost pressed YOU KNOW KELDRON I'VE BEEN THINKING... WHO AM I TO KEEP YOU WITH ME WHEN YOU HAVE A FAMILY AND WANT TO BE WITH THEM... NEVER have i felt like that with anygame and when im gonna get TOB and complete it i think im gonna be quite sad... i am already

Minsc and Boo (tank and tank commander, guess who's the commander)

Yoshimo (now i like him better than Jan cos i got bored of his smart-ass talking and cos Yoshi he can handle KATANA hehe)

Jaheira (again)

Aerie (again, though i tried not to have her and got Viconia instead but then found out how hard it is without Mage. Viconia tragically "chunky" died in sphere when i had to get the heart of demon. So i found no-one else than her, wal there was Nalia but... truly if u could romace her than i would choose her since she's a human and nice girl lol )

So thats all my parties that were commanded by yours truly hehe

Second party (in Chapter 3 currently)

Half-orc barbarian (male and hacked to have Viconia romance)

Jaheira (may trade for Sarevok but maybe not

)
Yoshi (may try to cheese him to keep him this time), if not, will trade for Imoen

minsc (pretty good too)
edwin (main mage)
jaheira (pretty good w/ club of detonation +5) and can cast greater elemental summoning so it's all good
