does this glitch really work?

Post by ventruesnob »

I copied the "glitch" thats supposed to work from another internet page....The glitch is this....

*****
Infinite XP points

When you start a new game go straight to the character creation screen and select your clan. Go to the character sheet then put your points where you want to put them. Go back to the clan selection screen and select THE SAME CLAN (selecting another will reset the points). You will now have the character points again besides the ones you allready have placed. Be careful not to fill your points up in one go because if you have remaining points, you cannot proceed with the game.
****

I tried to see if the glitch really worked, but it didnt...Has anybody actually tried this glitch?

Spoiler

Seems like a lot of effort to avoid simply gifting yourself with 5000 xp.

It doesnt' seem like that would work, but stranger things have happened. Just use the cheat console, if you're determined to find ways to become more powerful freely.

I tried it but never got it to work at all. Using the console cheats just give yourself 1000exp which will be more then enough to full stat yourself. Only thing I would advise if your going to do this is do not give yourself all the skills until your through the tuctorial with Jack. The game tends to glitch and not allow you to complete the training as it has you use skills you have to get past certain Sabbat members. It kept trying to have me use Purge on the two Sabbat in the one room walking around. I'd use purge and it would text saying "You did not kill them using Purge" and I'd have to do it over again... like 20 times over again before I gave up and started the game over and skipped Jack's tuctorial. On my next time through I did not use any on disiplines and was able to successfully complete the tuctorial.

I'm pretty sure this glitch has been fixed in the patch.

Was the patch automaticly installed on later productions of Bloodlines? cause I never knowingly installed the patch myself. And I just bought the game a month ago roughly.

It's possible, certainly. Check your version number on the main menu.

Now that I come to think of it, it's also possible that this glitch was present only in the very earliest releases of this game and subsequent releases had it removed even though it isn't 'patched' per se
