Welly welly well **SPOILERS**

Post by yrthwyndandfyre »

I've finally done two things I've never done before. As a Tremere female, I did the parking garage for Fat Larry and got the XP bonus, and I did the museum without killing anybody and without being Nosferatu.

In the parking garage, the walkthrough is, shall we say, misleading. It says you have to take the stealth option, which I always took to mean that you have to get through it without killing anybody (very difficult). The fact is that if you can get to the briefcase and take it without raising an alarm, you're free to kill every thug in the garage on your way out (very easy). The only caveat is that you have to start in the Janitor's closet when you're going in.

Tremere have the Trance discipline (if you've gone that far) and that is the key to getting through the museum as a Tremere (aside from the more mundane roles of waiting for alerts to wear off, running and hiding, and so forth). In the security booths, you trance the guard, hit the computer, and do something. The guard has awoken by that time, so you trance him again and proceed. You have to type fast, though. You have to bring along a few blood packs to renew yourself, because you have to trance the boys a *lot* and you take a bit of damage when they're beating on you between the time Trance wears off and you re-Trance them. Now I'm just itching to find ways through the museum in other bloodlines (except Nos, which is easy).

Try Malkavian next time if you have not done so. You can do some skills like mass hysteria and such or even berzerk on a guard so they go after him letting you slip past and you don't kill them at all as they shoot at eachother hehe. (thats a theory I want to test anyway as per a suggestion I read on here)

Though, if they kill each other, you'd still get the experience hit. Quite frankly, Malk's can just use obfuscate anyway....

true but that was one of the reasons mentioned not to use a Nos because they have the same disipline.

Spoilers ahead, I guess.

He, he. I had my malkavian character kill every single thug on the way in, without anybody noticing, then picked up the lonely briefcase. In my opinon the stealth feature is a bit overpowered when combined with obfuscate5, as you can walk through just about any mission without taking a single blow and snuff every living (and unliving) soul on the way.
As to the museum, you can get through easy with every character as long as he/she can sneak decently. Either shoot the cameras, or use celerity to sneak right under the cam while it is turned away, then sneak on as soon as it rotates away again.

I took the case off the floor while hiding behind the three guys, then I took them out stealth style.

What's the point of stealthing through the garage? Do you get extra points for getting the briefcase without killing anybody? I just ran through, laid waste to everyone, and picked up the briefcase when I was done. I got all the benefits from Fat Larry, too.

You get extra experience for taking them out using stealth.
