Hi guys & dolls!
I have the key to Jezabel Lockes apartment, but the elevator will not work for me. I keep pressing "E" like crazy, but no luck. My game is patched to 1.2. Help?!? Is there any way to sort of teleport in there? I remember fondly the cheats for Vampire the Redemption that would allow me to take Pissed-Off-Christoff anywhere in an instant.

Elevator does not work at hotel downtown
I have had elevator glitches and I just Noclip up to the correct floor....enter noclip in the console and then fly to the right spot.
I'm not sure if that will work, though, Jezebel's floor might be a different area, I know the Russian Mob floor is. If Jezebel's floor is in the same map as the hotel lobby then you are good.

Yes...
I was trying to get into the elevator. I found out - by utter frustration and hitting every key in every way - that it worked when the crosshairs were exactly at the button. Even if the use-icon was displayed, it just would not work otherwise.
So now I got in - but have now died three not-so-final deaths at Jezabels hands. I am playing a female Tremere who has THAU 2, DOM 1 and Firearms 3. Any advice, apart from getting some explosives? The b(i)tch is FAST!

Got 'er!
I found a slightly unfair trick. I placed myself just close enough to the door to keep Jezabel from opening it and then used my shotgun when I opened the door, taking time to reload it when the door was closed. Most of time she was thrown back behind a sofa by the shotgun blast and I got out of the skirmish alive. No-one calling me MORSEL deserves to live....

You should be able to take her straight on with a knife and blood buff. It might take a couple tries to get the timing right and keep her in your sights. Other weapons won't work too well, you need blades for a vampire. The axe is too unwieldy for her room I think.
If that doesn't go too well, the shotgun is good against her as it knocks her down. You could hotkey 1: Knife and 2: Shotgun and switch back and forth. When she gets the edge on you in the knife fight, bring up the shotgun and knock her down to get a second to get your footing.
Also, with a Tremere one fighting strategy is melee and blood bolts - fight hand to hand, but every chance you get hit her with a blood bolt as well, since you don't have to switch weapons. This is a fun tactic.
Actually, if you are going in with full blood, you could probably just hit her really fast with 15 quick blood bolts.....you can fire blood bolts as quick as you can hit the button, but you won't get the blood back. It should take her down or at least get you close. This is a good trick for every boss with a Tremere, but it gets a little boring unless you mix it up with the strategy above.
I really enjoy playing a Tremere, it's kind of a Fighter/Wizard character. Get the third level Tremere spell as soon as you can, it's a long-lasting armor spell that will really help you in tough combat. Personally I find the level 4 and 5 Thaumaturgy powers fun but not really necessary. 2nd Level Purge is really good when you get mobbed, Blood Bolt is the best thing ever. It is pretty funny to use the 5th level power on people, it's worth seeing once for sure
I also wouldn't recommend increasing Domination, the 1st level is the one you really need. If I were you, and feel free to ignore this, I would put points into Melee, Dodge and Wits. This will be good. Dodge and Wits brings up your defense, which you will really notice, and Melee will pay off, believe me. Firearms are good but work best as a supplement to good Melee IMO. Also with a Tremere due to Blood Bolt and Trance you have other options for ranged combat anyway.

Jhez is on the money
When you unlock the door, pop your head round enough and the dialogue starts - when it finishes, you are still outside the room - pop your head round again and blast her, then duck back. stay by the doorway and blast her back each time she gets to the door - sometimes she survives a blast and lunges at you - shoot her point-blank and she should fly back into the room. if you re-load each time when she is far enough away, you don't get out of ammo and shredded. thaum can augment the shotgun blasts.
don't try it without the shotgun though - unless you get the fire-axe and buff up - the fight is not easy, but you can juggle her if you are lucky - keep knocking her back into the wall. crouching works well for that.

I found it best to activate the blood shield (if you have it) and stun her with the brain wipe discipline (second level Dominate) ...this kept her still enough for me to slash her a couple of times with my knife. Once she came to, I would run around the room to put some distance between us before I activated brain wipe or Blood Strike again. Until I used this combined strategy I had the same problem. I guess I should also state that I escaped with a centimetre of my life bar.....

Umm....I had this and assumed it to be part of the game. Leave the hotel and go down the end of the road to the parking lot (Where the 3 Russians are ) and in the parking lot you will see a trash bin with an open vent above it. Jump on the bin and into the vent. It's a bit tricky but with patience it can be done. Follow the vent over the kitchen and drop down into the elevator. After that you will be able to use the elevator whenever you like.
Good luck
