I know this has been replied several times but I have a few different problems.
1-I have a shortcut on my desktop . DO ı just rename the file name adding -console, or do I have to go into the properties and do some changes there ?
2-The ~ key is on a different key on my keyboard as I am using a european keyboard. Do ı have to press that key or do I have to press the key near "1". Also do I have to press ctrl, or alt to access to this
3-When everything is proper, do you see anything that indicates the console has been opened? I have tried various typings and pressed different keys with different combinations, but I didnt get a message. Maybe I am doing everything right , but not noticing it?
cant get the console to work

You have to change the properties to put the "-console" switch after the name of the executable file in your shortcut. When you hit the proper key, a console dialog will pop up - you will have no question in your mind when it happens, as it's pretty blatant.
