Watcher's Keep Help (SPOILERS!!!)
Watcher's Keep Help (SPOILERS!!!)
So, I am in Watcher's Keep on the level with the Succubus. If I choose the attack options in the dialog, I'm toast. My tanks cannot make their saves, they get charmed, and it's game over. If I take a kiss from the Succubus (yummy!) then I can get through the room, but am I missing out on something awesome, and what is the price I pay for that succulent smooch??? Any help out there on what do do with this demonic beeotch?
"Think on this, arrogant mageling: even the mightiest archmage has no spells strong enough to let him cheat death. Some take the road of lichdom... a living death. The rest of us find graves, and our dust is no grander than that of the next man. So when next you lord it over some farmer with your fireballs, remember: we all master spells enough to die"

What level are you trying this at? If you have gotten through Chapter 3 then dire-charm (EVEN with a Succubi) should be a dead issue. For your tanks you have:
Lilacor (IMO at least ONE tank should be using him)
The blade of the Psion (an improved version of Lilacor w/o the annoying personality)
The equalizer (for you dual weilders or sword and shield buffs)
The shield of Harmony
and I lost *count* of how many helms of charm protection there were out there.
My point is that by the time you reach those luscious demons, you should be pretty much charm proof...and I more than suspect the designers of the game assumed just that.

P.S. I am neglecting class/natural magic resistance or chaotic commands which will also put a crimp into the aspiring Succubus.

Hmmmm... I must be doing something wrong then. I have already played through all of SoA, and I don't think I have any of those weapons except the Psions Blade. I might have to do a little cheating and CLUA console I guess.

Hmmm, In SoA the Temple of Lathander sells helms of charm protection. Also the party in the Sewers will drop a helm of charm protection, and IIRC there are others.
You get the shield of harmony as a reward for helping Trademeet.
You get Lilacor by solving the riddle of the sewers during the C.C. Slave quest.
In addition to all of that, if all else fails, there is Chaotic Commands which protects totally (however in the Maze, there are Magic Dead zones so beware).
I hope this helps.

My NPCs are all far above level 20 and won't save most times. I think the items you recommended are crucial. Have anyone tried to find out what saving throws are needed? Since my NPCs, naturally, all have low saving throws, I would think that you get a huge penalty.Originally posted by polaris:

Life seems short considering how long you will be dead.

All those are good suggestions. Heres how I got through.
Keldorn w/ helm of charm protectionor other charm prot item, lots of arrows. If you have Keldorn just let them charm you and he can dispel the charms easily. I mopped the floor with them in a hurry.

When the warrior is not in battle he doesn't rest. He sharpens his sword.

I think you forgot that Keldorn is an inquisitor. That kit has a natural immunity to charm and hold spells. Equipping him with that helmet is redundant. He is not immune to stun and confusion though. Same goes for monks (they get immunity to charm at a certain level).
BTW, one of the guys in the Guarded Compound in Temple district also drops a helm of charm protection.
Life is an adventure
I will have to go through my bags of holding to see if I have some items I forgot about. When I went through SOA, I missed some quests because I thought you could continue on after defeating Irenicus. If I have to, I'll just CLUA in some items to get through this one.
I thought the Kiss of the Succubus was supposed to kill you as well. I tried it since it was an option and she brought me to an area where there is a demon that you play a game with. I didn't check to see if any of my stats were changed, I just quit because I wanted to try and figure out how to take that beeeotch out.
