open baldur.ini in your game directory using Notepad or other text editing program you have. Under either GameOptions or Program Options add the line:
"Debug Mode=1" without the quotation marks. Then when you are in the game, press CTRL and the space bar at the same time. Then type in "CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys()" without the quotation marks. Then when your cursor is over a NPC, press CTRL-Q and he, she or it is in your party. It's really fun to play that way once you beat the game legitamately (spelling?) Right now I have the Spectator Beholder, Drizzt, Demi-Lich, and Tolgerias in my party.

Concerning ctrl+q:
I noticed some strange things about that- for instance, Jon is Chaotic Good and some cretures have a gender of Neither
What does Neither mean? Does it mean that Nature's Beauty (which is the only sex related spell I can think of) will not have any affect on them?

I've seen natures beauty work on anyone, anyway do not rely on teh lethal effects. The real value of natures beaty is in the unsaveable blindness. A blind spellcaster cannot cast, except right next to you this is in effect a mass aaaaarea power word blind. and if you've ever had that cast on you, the only solution is to cast as many abi dazims in as many directions as you can and hope to get lucky
