Which Improved Battles Mod's do you use?

In the light of writing a strategy guide for all those Improved battles, I was wondering which mod's people use at this board. So I made a poll for that. It's quite simple; just click on the mod's that you use when playing.
For SoA, the mod's include:
-Apack (rogue re-balancing): Cyric Encounter, Improved Shadow thieves
-CoM-Encounters (chosen of mystra): Two new encounters in the sewers, another is found at Windspear Hills and there is a special Underdark encounter.
-Dark Ritual (chosen of mystra): Improved harpers and a hard encounter in Firkraag's dungeon.
-Improved Battles (forgottenwars forums)
-Tactics

For ToB
-Ascension
-Improved Oasis
-Oversight: Improved Sendai

Ascension and Tactics for my current solo (SoA) / duo (ToB) game. Difficulty is slightly mitigated by the use of item and ease of use mods though.

One who uses mod's such as the ones I posted, uses more than likely ItemUpgrade and EaseofUse as well. Those are the mod's that are well-known.

I haven't had the chance to enjoy Ascension yet, as I only recently downloaded it and started a new game in SoA to take through the game, but Tactics... increases difficulty by 'n' times ^^ Also, are the Improved Battles included in Tactics? Just wonderin if I should get them...

Improved battles is a whole different mod that improves different encounters. Some are way too hard, others make the game a lot more fun, in my humble opinion anyway.

Improved, Tactics, Ascension, Redemption, Apack, Improved Battles, Smarter Mages ( I guess its a component).

I dont play that way often. But, its really funny to finish baldurs gate simple and plain and then play it to get some extra difficulty and feel a "real life situation".

I ignore UnderrepresentedItems though, that one's a little bit over the top ...

Same here, and neither am I using Spell-50. I'm actually suprised so few people use Improved Battles or Improved Oasis. IO is one of the better ToB mod's out there, and IB is, except for a few over-the-top encounters, quite fun to play.

Well, I'm in the early parts of ToB right now (just finished Marching Mountains) and would like to give it a try. Can I install IO over my Weidu mods in my current game?

It's a Weidu mod, so yes: it won't cause you any conflict. I'm not sure if you have the Improved Oasis component from tactics installed, but I believe it will overwrite that anyway. You should be safe.

They have a very good list of sites and resources.

But if you're a newcomer to BG finish the game a couple of times first. Tactics is nice, but very hard.

I thought I'd mention it here: the Tactics mod has been nerved a bit in the newest version (v23). Apparently there were too many complaints about Improved Faldorn, so they made her weaker. She casts no firestorms, has no extra spells, no magic res, no immunity to normal weapons, has fewer attacks and no regen.
