Best equipment for thief?

What would be the best equipment for my assassin??

I have: Celestrial fury, Boots of speed,
Shortbow +2, Mercykiller ring,

... etc ...

get Rogue's Hood its really cool, but i think its only a TDD item, but i could be wrong, neways i found it on 2nd floor of Maevar's guild
plus Gesen Bow if u can
and if ur char is proficient w/daggers, I like bone dagger and Neb's nasty Cutter, Stilletto of Demarchess etc..
im not saying there the best, but I findem pretty good

Valygars armor is an excellent choice for a thief.

Lucky you! musashi, you can whack jan and loot him for his gear after you get use any item!!! somehow, the wittle bugger comes with the best thief gear in the entier frigging game!!! the goggles and gloves gives 20% bonus to detect traps and pick locks!!!! if you dual to mage, vecna robe would be better, but the jan sportswear, dry clean only, is pretty good too.

sure, you can duplicate this junk with other tief enhancers later in the game, and you get use anuy item later in the game too, but even later in the game they're hard to duplicate, and quite frankly, well worth it.

I use shadow dragon scale armor.. AC 1..
would valygars one be better??

Another question.. :

is there any item wich would give my thief more accuracy.. i dont like that when you try to backstab and you always miss!!

.. or should i just wait more lvl ups?

Rogue's hood is only a TDD item.

Any girdle of giant strength or the gauntlets of ogre power will lower your THAC0 for melee weapons. And once you can "use any item", there are gauntlets of weapon expertise, e.g., that will lower THAC0.

Immunity to Charm
25% resistance to Fire , Acid and Magic damage.

I didn't remember that exactly.. thanks.. would that be more suitable for my thief than the shadow dragon scale(AC1 +AC50% against acid).. what do you think?
