To tell the truth, I had experimented with this very feat. What I found is that my characters casting and attacking a hint faster because of Improved Initiative.
Dungeon Crawl Inc.: It's the most fun you can have without 3 midgets and a whip! Character stats made by your's truly!

Faster as in more often? I fought that it should make them attack ealier in the round... Anyway is there a possibility of checking it somehow definetly? Maybe creating two identical characters (in multiplayer prepherably) one with this feat one without it...

.

if you search the forum you will find several threads on this issue

...but maybe Brynn should just make one of them sticky!

I've tested ii with or without fix - and didn't find any difference at least for caster. (2 identical sorcs one with fix - the otherone without cast randomly first whith the same spell).

from my point of view: just forget ii!
