IN-teresting thing to see with Auspex (slightly spoilerish...)

Post by Jhez »

At the Ocean View Hotel, it is possible to see a hanged woman in one of the rooms. It is at the third floor (the same floor as the Weekapaug Thistle) and the room is seemingly empty, but a vase is thrown at you.

My Malk kept looking up and towards the closet, so I turned her Auspex on to see ... well, let's say she has a point when she tells Beckett she sees dead people.

Are there other interesting things to be discovered with Auspex only?

I'd recommend if you have enough blood to spare, to use Auspex through out the whole Ocean house for you'll see many cool things, IE the woman hanging, or running around screaming, and you can even see him stalking about as well. Really creepy.

Now that I didn't know. My biggest complaint about Auspex was that it *should* allow you to see ghosts, even when they're invisible. I suppose I'd have to actually *use* it to know, huh?

Aw- specs

I never used Auspex in ocean house - will have to try it next time my character has it.

I found it particularly useful in Traffik and Hallowbrook missions - and best for creeping - knowing which walls enemies were hiding behind and also in the model citizen quest for seeing when they were distracted and wouldn't see you.

I'm pleased that it does have some mystery solving powers. I'm not sure that I fancy seeing "Johnny" creeping around the hotel though!

I tried this as a Tremere and couldn't see anything. I wonder if its just for Malkavians?

Indeed. After reading this thread, I started a new game as my favorte clan - Tremere - and used Auspex throughout the Ocean House. I saw nothing I hadn't seen before without Auspex. Will try again with a Malkavian next.
