Alignment change?

Post by sprcow »

Ok, I am in ToB, mucking around the fire giant hut, and I just realized my alignment was neutral evil! I don't ever remember it changing (from neutral good), and so I started looking back at my saved games, and it's neutral evil all through ToB, but my last save in SoA before Irenicus, it's neutral good (this is after all the tests). I got irritated at this and even went so far as downloading one of those editing programs specifically to change my alignment back, and it says my alignment was still neutral good. I took off all my equipment, in case that was part of the problem, but that didn't have any effect. What's going on here?!

I have the same problem
my paladin is now neutral evil (and he's not fallen)This probably happen because i choose the side of evil in hell for one of the test.

If you attack Sarevok in Hell, you're alignment changes to evil. I think that's what happened to you.

I don't think I did though.. maybe I did.. I tried to be calm and work with my good alignment, and I thought he attacked me. I refused to change into slayer, I know that much. Is there anything I can do to change it back? I let him take part of my essence in ToB to come back alive.

Thanks a ton. That fixed the problem. I still can't figure out how it happened in the first place; I even went back through hell to figure out when it changed, but by the time I got to the end again, it was still neutral good. Oh well, thanks again.

After you complete any of the test, a global variable is set, telling the game whether you did it the good way or the evil way. If you did a test the Evil way, then your alignment will change when you use the Tear you got from that test to open the door.
