best supporting spells for melee masters

Post by sun_facer »

Hi all,

In your professional opinion, what are the best spells for a fighter?
So far, I find the ones I use most are
1) Force Push (kinda like KOTOR)
2) Heal (also like KOTOR)
3) Ghost sword

How much damage does ghost swords do?
How much damage does the shield spell take?
How does Enflame compare to force push?

THanks!
In the end, everything will be alright. If it is not alright, it is not the end.

I would go with assasin rush if you have quick weapons and shield so you dont get hurt as often. You can also choose to go with multihit which is a real big help.

Well for me I usually use the following spells as a melee'er

1. Physical Shield..A must to keep from getting injured. Just stock up on lots and lots of mana potions.

2. Beserk..Mixed with a heavy weapon it makes boss mobs drop in 1-2 hits.

3. Multistrike...with this and Berserk lets say some bosses die in the first strike.

4. Enflame is a great killer. Does 500 pts per use and kills most mobs in 1-2 hits. Great for multiples of low hitpoint enemies.

5. Slow Time....Mix this with Berserk and Multistrike...This combo works wonders on some of the quests you have to do.

it definitely depends on your strategy but the very best are multi-strike and ghost sword... that's if you wish to be plain meele.. the other ones are more towards being a mage.

Yeah thanks!

I started out with Enflame and Multistrike.... wanted to be a melee fellow. But at the end of the game, I was termed "a legendary Will User" rather a a warrior.

One question about Berserk though. I suppose alignment towards evil will help when using Berserk right? Last longer? Or less mana consumed for use?

How do you manage to max multi strike, berserk and slow time? At the end of the game, I only have max Multistrike, Enflame, Magic Power and Physique.
In the end, everything will be alright. If it is not alright, it is not the end.

I just use multistrike and a legendary weapon like the Murren Greathammer of the Katana Hiru.

That is just my opinion though.

I fight almost exclusively as a melee fighter.
Starting with slow time to do faster damage and avoid getting hit, also I use battlecharge alot and force push.
Do you need a silencer if you're gonna shoot a mime?

Force push is limited in effectiveness for a melee fighter, especially if you hire mercs at all, same with enflame.

I think Slow time, mutli strike, and assasin rush are your best friends for melee.
Ghost swords can be helpful. But limited.

actually, forcepush and enflame are a melee fighters best friend, if you get trapped in and become overpowered just blast them down and you can safely get back to hacking.

Makes sense actually, though I found slow time to be really effective.

Force push I used more when I was playing an archer.

I've never used enflame. Maybe when I come back to the game in a few weeks.
