Help me finding moonstone

I cannot find the first moonstone. I walk north from Arindale following the river until I arrive at a Lake that I supposed to be Lost Lake but I didn't find anything. Only one isle without moonstone. Plese Help

Well, you're right about at the exact place, so don't give up. Stay and explore in that area, especially around the big island in the lake. Look at the paper map that came with the game. All around the island (while you're swimming around in the water) are high mountains, so it appears you can't get on land (also note from the paper map that's there's two islands, one small, one large -- you want the large one). If you look at the paper map, you'll see that there's an opening to the big island kind of to the North/North West. So go that way (which means you'll be swimming South when you get there), and then you'll be able to get on land at the big island. From there, you should encounter a Moon Beast (or many Moon Beasts!). When you kill one, it will drop a Moonstone. Pick it up, and that's that. Note that you only need one Moonstone.

I thought I remembered that there are Moonbeasts at Lake Lohr, but honestly, I forget.

Am I missing something?

I swam out to the big island (and yeah, I'm sure it was the big one, not the small one) found the Shrine of Celestial Power sitting there, and started running around the island looking for a "moon monster". Not a one. I was there for about 20 minutes. I met up with some random monsters (wolves, scorpians) but nothing else.

Going to the island wasn't on my log however, I just figured it would be nice to have use of the moon gates. Do I need to be quested to go out there first? Is that why I didn't see any moon monsters?

I'm still fairly early in the game (I think). I just went through Arindale for the first time, finished the trial of elders - not sure where I'll head next, I have a ton of quests waiting in my log now...

Well, knowing this game, I'm not exactly sure what triggers what, or what you have to do first in order to do something else. I think, though, that since you've been to Arindale, you should be able to get a Moonbeast.

Did you also check out the tips in the link in my original reply?

I think it has to be at night and a full moon not covered by clouds.
