Frustrating Bugs
I downloaded one of the patches (cant remember which one), then I downloaded the Co8 patch. The bugs in the game improved (even though it still took forever to save or to switch screens), but now Im in the fire node and my game keeps freezing. If I download the 3.0 patch will it mess with the Co8 patch or will they work together?

Patch 3 isn't fully compatible with co8, nor will it do anything to fix freezes. All it does is fix the directx 9.0c looting bug, and that's it.
The best solution I've found to the problems on the nodes is to move in small increments and avoid scrolling at the same time. Often the problem is caused/aggravated by enemies nearby (my own theory is that the game gets messed up by them trying to see/hear you), and if you chuck a fireball ahead to force combat, the problem is solved.
In general, don't use patch 3. Temple.zip does the same thing only better, and every mod out there is coded for patch 2.

(Use the lastest 1.3 build - it's still beta, but stable and far better than 1.2)
