Any tips for fighting flying things?

Post by toddhd »

I tend to do ok against most ground based targets, but silly things like bats, bees and other flying nuisances take me forever to kill. They whack me in the head, then fly off. I try click my left mouse just before they get to me in hopes that I'll catch them in mid-swing, and this sometimes works, sometimes not. Is there maybe something else I should try? Is there a stat I can raise that will help? Or a better weapon that a sword?

Thanks

for me, doing an overhead chop (reverse + attack) seems to be effective.
now that i have a decent pool of spells, i just fling a fireball at them.

Actually, killing those major pests is easy. Keep an ample supply of Poison
Cloud nether spells in your inventory. Cast it when flying enemies near you and watch them fall. I love it! It works really well on bats, but takes some time on killer bees.

Like Dark Spark said if you have a sword just hold down the back button to keep walking backwards and clicking the left mouse attack button and they wont even touch you alot of times. youll keep smacking them as they fly in,also works really well against a big pack of wolves.

Use nova blast or other area affect spells...they tend to attack initially as a group then split up so when you see them coming get an ae spell ready and wipe em out all at once.
