Multi Player Spoiler

Post by Shados_Draconio »

ok, i'm confused. How do you make a multi-player game? During one of the "loading" times between places it said you can have a party you made on your own...... so... how? I need help with this, please.

Huh.. there's no SPOILER into this thread (for now..).

To make a multiplayer game... just hit the "Multiplayer" button in the main menu instead of the "Singleplayer" one. Just use "Serie" as your Protocol, and hit the "New Game" button. Then, you'll have 6 slots to create your own characters (1st one being your PC). If you want to avoid longer loadings, just move your saved game files from MPsave to Save.

Bear in mind that being able to create 6 characters instead of one makes your party much more powerful.

More powerful (not much more) in the beginning, but by mid/end game (specialli with ToB) there is not much difference in term of power. Definetly the plus is that you can customize the team with char not avaialble in the NPC list, but you will miss a lot of the interaction, so I wouldn't make a whole party of six. Probably a good compromize is to make 2 or 3 custom char, and then import the mgame into single game and add some NPC (but I always prefer the NPC).

Also if you add in the title the word SPOILER you don't need to write everything in black, and also ther eare no spoiler in your thread.

Yeah, but multiplayer is only worth it in three situations:
1) You have been through the game +10 times and have exhausted all dialogue/romance scripts
2) You are trying to play the ultimate power-gaming party
3) You are trying a big role-playing party (Someone tossed up the idea of 6 bards making a party, or similar role-playing ideas.

But the normal NPC's are truly quite powerful. Sure they won't have have 19 in there main stat, but they will have more than enough. Sure they won't get on, but you can get patches. Sure they may be slightly less-powerful, but you can still beat the game.

I know you can play a combo, or half and half, but those previous points apply.

Suit yourself, but I suggest singleplayer, unless of course you are playing true multiplayer, in that case, DEFINITELY PLAY.

Whatever you do, good luck.
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.

I think Shados' original request for information has been answered. That being the case, this thread is closed.
