Editing Dds Textures

What program is used or anybody uses to edit dds? I mean not Photoshop, but preferibily a freeware. Damn i just want to turn something to luck silver nothing more. I've tried a few but without success.

http://www.irfanview.com/ can convert the DDS textures to an editable format :)

Thanks man, but i already know that. What i mean is a program that can edit DDS. The problem with Infranview is that you can convert to another format from a dds, but not the other way, and the best textures for use with Morrowind is DDS.

You might want to hunt around for DXTex Tool, which is the official Microsoft DDS editing/converting program, although it may be outdated now :confused:
